They show desmond standing next to it at one point and turning it on. It similar to the spot lights you might see used in a theatrical production.
here's a theory from a friend: Ana Lucia DID NOT shoot shannon. he said he was reading a website that said her wound is a stab wound. what if one of the others attacked her and ana lucia shot the attacker, not shannon? Sayid looks like he was ready for a fight ... but it may not be with who we think it is.
I dont like the 'Collective Consciousness' stuff one little bit. Anything paranormal makes clue-searching moot. If its all Deus Ex-Machina whats the point of analysis? And lets not have any of that 'remote viewing' nonsense either. Im just waiting for a theory based on Immanuel Velikovsky. Rep to anyone identifying that guy.
I've had the 'Ark' theory right from the start, but I've moved on since then and I tend to think they're making it up as they go along now, once they got us hooked they had to keep us that way
that's what i think too. it didn't show that shannon actually died. but, who knows. i thought that sawyer was the one who was going to die in that ep....when he fainted and all......i can't wait till tonights ep!
Whoa, just yesterday I used the phrase deus ex machina on this site. So what are the odds of that happening?
The last minute of the show answered those questions. This was kinda like Survivor, you can tune in for a minute at the end and know all you'd need to know.
Did I miss something? The show was one of the worst ones. The "extended episode" was crap. It was basically the same stuff we've already seen during the added time. The other survivors aren't interesting. They could have revealed if Ana Lucia really shot Shannon in the next episode. They clearly had an opportunity to drag things out and this is what tonight did.
It was interesting to see that the others are very human and not some super race or not really too special otherwise.
Stalling by the writers, this episode really wasn't neccessary...it was pretty much a mirror of the other group and other side of the island. Nevertheless, I guess I'll keep watching.....
One of the best episodes of the new season. It's been hypothesized elsewhere that Mr. Eko is a priest of some sort (40 days of silence, etc.) Nathan seems like he might been with Ethan (some sort of transitional stage with the others?) Should be interested to see what happens after the merge.
The few important things that were at least as much info as we've gotten on any previous episode: 1. The Others are taking people, because they are "good", implying that the rest are "bad." 2. The bunker was the Dharma "Arrow" bunker, one of the six. It had far less amenities than the Swan bunker. 3. The US military is involved. 4. Mr. Eko is a badass.
Yeah, so much for an extended episode. I was all nice and warm snuggled up in my blankey ready for an extra half hour or so.... I'm so damn disappointed. What a yawn fest!
Apart from the last eight or so minutes where everything came together, this episode tried to wrap up what the entire first season did for the other crew of survivors. Although it managed to portray the humanity of those few survivors, really focusing on Ana Lucia, it was was apparent that it was rushed. Hence it came off as sloppy and very formulaic, you kinda knew where it was going, at least I felt that way.
