I watched it on tape and there sure seemed to be more commercials than story. Jack may be tossed into a decision on who to save again, we have Shannon with a bullet in her gut and Sawyer with a raging infection ripping him apart. Clearly they are going to get them to Jack soon. He may have to decide, I can't see him letting Shannon die after he already gave up on Boone (though he couldn't have saved him, he feels like he should have). Sawyer saw and heard Walt, Shannon asked him if he saw Walt and he said yes.
Yeah but didn't the prior episode's trailer say someone we'd come to know on Lost wouldn't survive, blah, blah, blah...I think she's dead, setting up conflict between Sayid and Ana-Lucia. You mean Sayid, right?
Nothing from nothing: our best friends mom is really good friends with the dirty blond from the tail-end survivors. She owns several pieces of rental property in Hawaii and also lives there. Plus our friend's niece goes to school with Jack's son. We've been offered free lodging when we go to Hawaii, but now my wife's desire to get there is incredible now that we have this bit of info. She's got the hots for Sawyer and would love the chance to meet him. I just think stuff like this is cool because it shows how small our world really is sometimes.
I think she's kinda hot, in a "dirty, sweaty, I've-been-stuck-in-a-jungle-for-way-too-long" kinda way.
I meant dirty blond as in hair, not dirty blond as in skanky whore. And yes, she is strangley attractive.
Like others, I think Shannon died in the last episode. Plus I think it's a safe bet that Jack has access to some antibiotics from the hatch/bunker/thingie, so Sawyer should be as obnoxious and shagnasty as ever soon enough.
Shannon's gone, kaput, dead. There's no decision that needs to be made by Jack on who to save... the only decision that needs to be made is where to bury her.
Combine Ana Lucia's attitude with her having shot Shannon and there's gonna be some fireworks when the get back to camp. not to mention that Sawyer will be beholden to Jack ... again. And wait until Michael finds out that Shannon had been seeing Walt, and that Sayid saw him too. It's set up to be interesting. I just wish they'd tie up some of those story lines that are floating out there. what drug locke into the hole? polar bears? that tattoo on the shark? where did desmond go to? the beast? etc. I know they won't/shouldn't answer all of them ... but throw us a few bones. the tailenders story this week will be nice to have in that regard.
I agree with you re: the fireworks when the two camps get together. With regards to these issues, I think the polar bears/tattoo on the shark thing have been pretty much explained. There are five stations on the island and they are testing on animals (in the film reel I believe they specifically showed a polar bear).
they haven't been explained because 1) a polar bear can't live on a tropical island. it has no source of food and its body isn't made to live in the tropics. is somebody taking care of/feeding it? where are the other animals, or was it just the bear? 2) what testing is going on that they need a shark AND a polar bear? they could all be part of some security system like the beast, but there's still PLENTY of questions down this trail.
And don't forget, Sayid was carrying around a gun to protect Shannon. Now she's been shot, and from what I remember, Sayid still has the gun....
Nah, she and Sawyer are going to comingle their malignity, which will free up space for Jack and Kate.
kate .... sounds familiar. is she still on the show??? also, i thought I read somewhere that her and sawyer will become an item. also, did you know that in real life Kate and Charlie are dating (it was in my wife's People).
LOL that would be crazy! Did you see sayid's face dang he looked really mad. He just might do that unless Jack or someone saves her in time. (By the i recall the announer guy on the comercial said that someone will die or something like that. or maybe it was just that one girl who got taken from the others while they were helping Sawyer get up that hill.
Everyone seems pretty convinced that Sayid actually did see Walt, I'm not so sure he did (though I only saw the ep. once, I may have missed something). Shannon had left Sayid's tent to find Walt, if Sayid had seen Walt at the tent as well they probably would have stayed put and talked things out. Up until this point, not only is Shannon the only person to see Walt, but nobody believes that she's seen him either. So Shannon runs off to find him, both confused (about Walt) and upset (that nobody believes her). Sayid, concerned for her safety runs after her. When he catches up Shannon goes into her spiel about being all alone like always, you don't believe me but I know what I saw, etc. Sayid answers with I love you, trust you, believe you, etc. Suddenly, you hear the whispering (no doubt they both heard this, but could it have been the jungle playing tricks with voices from the other group?) and Shannon sees Walt. At this point, when Shannon asks "Do you see him?" there's no way Sayid can say no. I'm not convinced at all that he did see Walt, after the conversation the two had just had where he said he believed and trusted her he was of course going to say yes. He's going to follow her through the jungle looking for Walt until they either find him or Shannon gives up/realizes that Walt's not really there. Coming away from the episode I really thought Shannon was the only one to see Walt and it wasn't something I even questioned, no way Sayid saw him. Did I miss something to suggest that he really did? Or is this another mystery?
From the look on his face.....which to me was sheer disbelief as opposed to sympathy for Shannon.....I think he did. But I guess we'll find out tonight......or maybe not.
I watched it again on tape. He saw him, he saw Walt before Shannon did, Shannon turns and looks to see what Sayid is looking at. Anyway, I doubt it will be cleared up tonight, mini-cliff hanger, they are going to show the tailenders tonight, so next week...... Unless they lead into the tail enders story by having them explain it to the original folks.
http://www.4815162342.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3377 This website has the best theory about the island yet that I have seen. Possible spolier.
I've got another one for you. What is the 'beam of light' that has flashed up on Locke several times at the hatch (for example, remember when he was pounding on it, yelling "I've done everything you asked!"?). I know there was a mirror at the bottom of the 'well' of the hatch, so to speak, but I didn't see one of those beacons found in lighthouses and at Hollywood premieres. Someone couldn't create that beam with a flashlight - not to mention the fact that the beam is featured on the Lost website.
There is a big spotlight thing that was down there. And whats-his-nuts turned it on several times. Once on Locke/Kate and once on Jack to blind them.
