Lost - Season 2 [R]

The season premiere is September 21st. I really enjoyed the first season, but any further foray into X-Files territory--lots of questions, few, vague answers, and constantly meandering plots--could put people off. I know the show is still young and there is plenty of time, but really they need to start giving some serious answers, i.e. who are the Others, what's in the hatch, why did they crash, are there other survivors, etc.

I'm looking forward to it though.

 

I read that we will find out very soon about the hatch, during the first episodes of season 2.

Not quite, since remember the folks on the boat (The Others?) had some kind of bomb and destroyed the raft. Michael is in the water with Jin and Sawyer now.

Sayid went with Charlie to retrieve Claire's baby from Danielle, and they arrived back at the caves. You're right about the four who blow the hatch open.

I believe everyone else was back at the caves, IIRC.

 

That's a great teaser. Did you get to rearrange the passenger names from the manifest yet?

I think this may be the 'Season 2' site. Plenty o' clips and other stuff.

 

I honestly can't wait to see wtf happened to Jin, Sawyer, Michael, and Walt. I've been wondering all summer. Honestly I could care less about the hatch, but for some reason I am really worried about the guys that went on the raft. I've haven't cared this much about a TV show cliffhanger since "Who Shot Mr. Burns" and Lost is ten times better than the Simpsons.

 

I agree with you, I kinda lost interest in the whole hatch affair, and have been trying to come up with possible scenarios for the raft crew, chances are that they'll be seperated and some of them will drift back to the island.

 

Did anyone else notice, and maybe this was from last season, but if you click on the blinking 'f' by 42 you get a clip of the girl Jack met in the bar (she was at the back of the plane) and the plane breaking up?

 

I'll tell you *where* it is first. It's not that big a deal, it's just a teaser after all...but I know some Lost fans like to figure clues themselves.

But if you want the *how* spelled out-literally, in this case- let me know.

Oh yeah, I see it now. Great catch, I had read something about being able to identify passenger seats on the chart, but it wasn't clear how to do it.

And lo and behold, I also got Boone and Jack's seats to come up too. But I don't know how I did it. I just clicked seat squares.

And look what else I just did...I found another method, using seat rows, to pull up a teaser that took me to the other site, after showing another little preview. Wow.

DirecTV had a 22 minute review of Season 1; being equipped with only Freeview and living in Scotland last year I missed it, but feel well prepared for this season...seems interesting.

I got in to this during the summer re-runs and can't wait for this to start up. Is Evangaline Lilly the most gorgeous woman on tv? Or at least the most gorgeous woman on a tv show based around a plane crash?

 

Man, you know ordinarily I'd say yes, but she's even got some tough competition on her own show. Tough call. Not that you hear me complaining.

I started watching over the summer, and then finished the series off on DVD. Amazing show.

Here's my question/theory (and I'm sorry if it's already been discussed, but I've never been through the season 1 thread): but a major conflict is going to be locke vs. jack ... faith vs. reason. hell, that's the name of the first episode (practically).
locke thinks the island is something more. So here's my thing: Locke's legs started giving out on him. but he got his strength back ... after the plane crushed Boone's legs. Did locke sacrafice Boone to get his strength back? he was only able to walk after all those other people died ... boone dies (via crushed legs, no less) and he can walk once more.

anyway, sorry if it's been hashed over ... but wanted to toss that out there. can't wait for next week. I'm glad i only have to wait a week to see what happens and not an entire summer.

 

They're not the only survivors. The lady from the back of the plane has got to be alive. And Rose's husband, perhaps.
