I'll throw this out right here - pure speculation, informed by known, divulged theories about Lost - so I won't use a spoiler tag, since I have no remote idea if I'm right... How 'bout Walt in the boat as a clone?
ooo. that's a GREAT possibility. b/c why would the others just give away walt like that?? dude, you got it going on.
christ, i throw a decimal out there cuz i figure i don't know a lot about sailing, since i am not a freaking sailor, and you guys start throwing names... nice... real friendly bunch... i believe that, save for the god-forsaken decimal you both rushed to choke me with, my point was pretty much on cue... and a smiley would be indicative of something done with a small humor... <--- happy times
If you care to sit through about a one minute ad, this recap and overview from Salon is pretty good. Not spot on, but enough interesting points to be credible.
I don't recall seeing this mentioned by anyone..... We know that the bird said Hurly's name, But also, just before the attack with the tranqulizer darts, there were the whispering voices from the woods that said "Elizibeth".

couple of things came up talking with my kids who just saw LOST on tape. - What's with the statue/foot? My Greek mythology is a long time ago, but I couldn't come up with anything about a 4 toe'd monster/god/statue - Telling Michael to head on 325 very well could be true north, not magnetic north, they are usually off by a bit, but 35 degrees is alot. Besides, assuming that was an electro-magnetic pulse or some other magnetic force, would a compass even work? - The Others didn't seem to concerned about the flash of light and noise. They were effected by it, as was everyone all around the island, the folks on the beach, others on the dock, Sayeed, Sun and Jin back in the boat, but when it ended they all just sort of went "hmm, that was fun, anyway, back to life" so maybe the others knew what it was and that it was no big deal. I think the others are NOT dharma, I think they are the original experiment, and "escaped" from the experiment part, they are the "event" that caused the button to have to be pressed. The mention that they are the "good guys" by henry implies there are more groups around and I think the "bad guys" are the dharma guys, while the others are the original experiment group who figured out and revolted. Why would Desmond's girlfriend know to even have someone monitor for an magnetic pulse?
according to the Widmore and Hanso sites, Dr. Mittlewerk is on the board of directors with both groups, and Hugh McIntyre, who is with Hanso, is no longer serving with Widmore. interesting.
The Colossas of Rhodes is the only thing that I could think of. One of the Wonders of the Ancient World. I think that I'm pretty much done with this show. There are just not enough times where I say "wow, that was cool" and too many times where I say "gee, that was pretty stupid". It doesn't balance out anymore.
I think it's simpler than that. Considering the EM pull of the island, or whatever the pull of the island may be, Michael needs to travel at a vector orthogonal to it if he's going to escape it. The important part is not the 325 bearing, it's that he doesn't deviate from it. Later, COZ
a couple of things to add, mention. one of which relates to the picture of the others with the houses behind them ... bad camera angle or plot point? but when jin, sun and sayeed were on the boat looking at the island, you could see another island behind them. from the angle they were looking, I cant' imagine it being the lost island (plus it look much to far away). so was that a bad camera angle, the lost island, or another island. are there any good theories on why they made poor hurley schlepp all the way out there just to let him go? i read in EW that libby's gonna be in several people's flashbacks next season. we know here connection with desmond and hurely, but who else will be there? and, like somebody else posted, they kinda left Sayeed hanging there ... he found that stuff to be fakes ... I wonder if he and Jin and Sun will find hurley as they're probably in roughly the same area. anyway, good ender. but not great. I remember turning off the tv and thinking I had no clue what I just saw and feeling a little underwhelmed.
I like this down at the bottom of the page: Caution: This is a real site. If this wasn't a real site you couldn't be here. This site is also officially unofficial, whatever that means. If you don't want your mind expanded beyond 27 diagonal inches, you should leave immediately.
Penn's dad who made up that race that Desmond was in he is probably running Dharma. That Dharma door was a fake when Sayid looked in it. It was a setup dang there smart. I think Penn is goin to go to the island also (well at least try) cuz of the electromagnetic thing those Seberians found in the trailer they were in.
They're the Portuguese guys that were in the plane in the Antarctica(?) at the end of the season finale-and were looking for geomagnetic signals.
That big growth/scar on Michael's forehead is getting worse, not better. He's got himself Rousseau's sickness. Or the Others gave it to him. Having trouble with the galleries on the ABC site. However: Orientation, Picture 23 - no trace. Three Minutes, Pictures 7 and 9 - not that bad. Two For the Road, Pictures 8 and 9 - getting really noticeable. Live Together, Die Alone, Picture 80. HUGE.
