And I should've added to the earlier post that when I travel to an away stadium to cheer my team, I certainly don't expect to be welcomed in with open arms, either. After some of the stories I've heard out of the Chicago camp, I always watch my back and I'm never a dick to the home fans.

Maybe the English did it right by establishing guarded visiting fan areas in their stadia. Though perhaps it hasn't quite escalated to that point in MLS...

And though I rarely agree with Cadaver, I have to say it's great that enough of us care this much to hate each other. We're the ones who are going to make this league succeed!

WOOF!!! All this "loyalty" is driving me away from this thread, let alone visions of a friendly tailgate.

My .02--(on and off the subject)

I'd welcome any fan from any team to our tailgate (Club Quake) provided they were civil. (They don't spit on me or my family, I don't spit on them or theirs.)

Love the Quakes "tie on the road, win at home" scenario...seems feasible. I have an uneasy feeling the Quakes may drop this one but so long as they hang close for the differential one fact remains consistent in any plan--Quakes must win their home fixture!

Ruiz must be marked tightly. I nominate Wade because he is, arguably, the Defender of the Year. Who else would you put on, arguably, the league MVP? Wade is quick, smart and not in danger of missing the next match due to accumulation of points. I still want Goos or Dayak in the middle to call the show but Wade is the man for the highwire act.

    Starting XI:

    Cannon (Hold that line, SuperJoe!!)

    Robinson, Conrad, Dayak, Barrett

    Corrales, Mulrooney, Ekelund, Lagos

    Donovan, Graziani

    I hope for a tie...I dream of a win!

I very much agree that Wade should be marking the "little fish". He did a very good job of keeping him from being dangerous in the USOC match, but unfortunately was not marking him on the play in overtime. This time around he needs to stick to him for 90 minutes, if he does, I think we have a decent chance of coming away with at least a tie.

What is this "past behavior" you reference? Were we spitting on you or were you disappointed that we didn't 'cause you're into that sorta thing?

After watching Gus St. Silva, anything is an improvement, even Ricardo. That is not a positive endorsement.

Glad to see we got off of the LA Vs. Quakes tailgate bashing. I don't care who shows up to the Club Quake tailgate. If they are good people I can enjoy their company and a beer with them.

    Continuing.....

I know our road record sucks, but I have a feeling about this one. Graziani has been somewhat quiet lately and I think he is going to explode tonight. Maybe not a hat-trick but I am thinking 2. The report about Goose last week at Shake with the Quakes didn't look good for this one. Thank God we have Robinson to fill in back there. My starting XI

Super Joe (You'll never beat Joe Cannon!!!)

    Conrad Robinson Dayak Barrett

    Corrales Mulrooney Ekelund Lagos

    Donovan Graziani (super sub DeRo)

There is one thing that has me worried. After all the stupid Yellow Cards given by St. Stupid last week we run the very serious possibility of losing players for next week's home game.

Even though we blew a 2 goal lead last week I feel really good about this lineup. We need to stick Barrett on Ruiz, he is the only one with enough speed to take him out of the game.

I called the Quakes' ticket office last night and it sounds like the 21st is going to draw a huge crowd. My section is completely sold out and they are opening the South end. Go Quakes!!! And for all the LA lurkers.....BEAT LA!

    [R] added in advance...

As always, please try to keep in-game and post-game comments here, too. If you're thinking about starting a separate thread that will mention the game results, please (a) make sure to put the [R] in the title, and (b) make sure the thread title doesn't give away the result (ie, "so-and-so player must go! [r]"). When in doubt about the appropriateness of a new post-game thread, just post here instead. Thanky mucho.

I think the men that have to set up there game and have come through for us at other times and can come through for us today are : Graz, Ekelund, and DeRo. But DeRo is going to come in as a sub for LD near the end I'm thinking so he'll have to work his magic near the end.

I have faith that they can win, but the true question is whether they will. Seeing them loose so hard last away game I screamed so loud that my older sister came runing for the back of the house and thought someone had broken into the house. LOL. I don't want to scream today unless it is because of a victory.

At the Columbus game I predicted a 3-2 win and I was close so I am going to say the same for todays game but in LA's favor. Ruiz is such a prick that he'll score more then one goal tonight. I really want my team to win but I'm realistic. From an optimistic view point I do hope we win.

I know I am not the most technical person, like other well educated people on this board, but I hope I you understand what I trying to say.
