Man, it sure would be nice to get revenge for the game earlier this year that we really should have won.

Good timing for Dynamo. LAFC had to bring in the stars to salvage a point last weekend, and mid-week will be playing way up in the Mountains of Terreon against a team that will absolutely torture them with movement, pressing, passing.

I do not know how I got it twisted up in my head that Toluca plays in Torreon, near Mexico City. In fact, Toluca plays, shockingly, in the city of Toluca. Toluca actually is near Mexico City. Torreon is nearer to Monterrey, and is where Santos Laguna plays. regrets

Looking at the conference standings this season is a real chance at hosting an MLS Cup if you can get yourself into P4or above finish. The Eastern conference is not good. Only the top 4 teams in the east are north of 1.5 PPG, while in the West the Dynamo at 8th at 1.5 ppg.

Of course, winning the West would be an incredible achievement. I don't remember one conference being as stacked with really good MLS teams before as this years West.

The good news is that the Dynamo have barely started playing the good teams in the west yet. The bad news is the Dynamo have not yet played the good teams in the west yet. (Except for hosting LAFC & SEA ... two big opportunities lost.)

Big game tomorrow night. I'm hoping LAFC plays their regulars and they fall apart from fatigue. they looked completely wiped out energy wise in the second half @ Toluca last Wednesday. I've never seen them capitulate so often in one half.... just banging the ball away rather than expend energy to maintain possession or mount an attack.

Toluca is actually the highest stadium in Mexico. Which is insane because it’s so easy to pass out in Pachuca, which is the second highest, due to oxygen deprivation. :p

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction! I mean who saw a road win of such magnitude versus such a stout Western Conference opponent coming to pass for our boys???
And this blossoming connection between Jack McGlynn and Enalli is something to behold. They read each other and find each other, which is having both turn in some spectacular goals this Season!

    A. LAFC is paying for their inability to prioritize and rotate squads through Concacaf. It is a story as long as MLS and this tournament....

    B. Absolute greatest thing I have seen a while -- there is a shot of the first McGlynn golazo where Ennali is in the background as Jack hits -- and Ennali is already celebrating! He has lifted his arms in the air in celebration! lol. I've never seen anything like it. It just tells you how much quality Jack's teammates see in him.

    C. On both McGlynn goals, it is hard over-appreciate Ennali's pass quality. They are not difficult passes, but setting both up perfectly on Jack's left at the right pace is a detail that creates goals.

If not for an extra coat of paint on the post, Jackie Boy has a hat trick!

After Palencia went out, we absolutely terrorized their touch line. They were probably in for a long day with him, but it was a wrap once he went down. Ennali running at 20 mph caused them woe and despair biblical style.

Guilherme. What a fantastic player. This is one of the greatest pick ups we've had and he is such a joy to watch. Hell, he even got the MLS commentator to gush over him! Watching him pick the ball up in our third and dribble and pass all the way to our final third like a point guard is so unique out of his position. His ability to when balls in the air, take people on, pass, shoot, etc etc etc is must watch tv every week.

It was great to see so many balls crossed in to our box by LA only to find the head and get cleared by one of our CBs. The back line was well organized and it showed. With no Bouanga, it made things a bit easier but despite that, they looked well ahead of the game and were prepared of the LA plan.

Great win & way to go into this rough stretch of the schedule.

    Well done boys!

    PS

    We got re-vvvvvv-enge!

    In other news--

    PONCE IS TRASH

He is so bad, that even his fan club and apologists can no longer make excuses for him. I've said for years that he sucks. It was true then and it's still true now. Sorry to those who argued with me about this for the past few years but the case is closed. Dude is one of the worst signings we've had and is a bust.

Carlos and Andrade have more goals than him. LOL
He has more yellow cards than goals. Again

Dumb ass almost scored on his OWN goal however.
When El Busto, stumbled around in the box and turned the ball over for the millionth time, even Mo Adu said "I'm not sure what Ponce was doing or what his plan was there. Why you would do that in the box?... I don't know". Welcome to our world Mo.

As of May 11, 2026, Ezequiel Ponce is currently among the worst-performing high-earners in MLS league play, having scored 0 goals in 10 MLS appearances this season. ---ESPN

    How He Ranks Among High-Earners
Efficiency: He has taken 13 shots with an expected goals (xG) of 2.49, meaning he is statistically underperforming his scoring opportunities by nearly three goals. https://www.fotmob.com/players/493216

    Why Ponce Ranks Worst
Ponce’s ranking as the "worst" is driven by his Expected Goals (xG) deficit. He has an xG of 2.49, but zero actual goals. This means he is statistically underperforming his scoring opportunities by a wider margin than almost any other striker with zero goals.

This is some of the worst production out of the position since Cubo. And Cubo once scored 14 goals in a season.

Get rid of him on 12:01am July 13th. Time to move on.
