I was really hoping they'd turn the "do you have any substitutions in mind in the second half?" "Yes." into a sort of running gag. Later, COZ
She looks hot without being heavily made up. I didn't see her this week but last week or two weeks ago she looked like she didn't wear any makeup at all.
I'm just concern about her soccer career..., I think she is one of April Heinrich's victims. I'm sure she likes on the field out there than being an interviewer.
This week she didnt look that great because she was standing out in the rain with a rain jacket on...
Aside from her natural beauty, her sideline reporting skills have improved considerably since her opening day clunker. I'm glad to see she's settling into her job quite nicely IMHO.
I think she's a great choice, personally. I was defending her even after the first day. She's such a vast improvement over the vapid idiot they had over the last couple years. I hated her. I sincerely wanted to punch Veronica Paysse in the mouth. When she came up to Coz at a Fire game, while he was holding drumsticks and standing behind a drum, getting ready to interview him and asked, "Are you the guy who plays the drums?" I just wanted to tear into her. I just laughed. It was funny though... when Lorrie Fair was interviewing Peter Nowak early on... every time she would ask a question that seemed reasonable, Peter made her sound kind of silly. She'd ask something like, "So... are you trying to get **** into the offense more?" He'd say, "No, not really." He did that about three times in the same interview segment. I felt sorry for her. Anyway, I've always liked her. I can't remember something though.... Wasn't she going out with that Barbie Doll looking guy that was in MLS a while ago? Long, blonde hair... pony tails and stuff... weird, possibly-Polish last name. I can't remember! Did he play for Miami? Did she marry him? Sowatski? Something like that?
You guys playin' cards? -- Kent Dorfman (aka Flounder) (sorry, I don't know how to use the fancy computer stuff to transfer a picture of Stephen Faust from Animal House).
Darren Sawatski (sp.??) I think he plays in the A-League, now, with a number of other former MLS players. Lorrie,s very good on the sideline, but I can't help wishing she played in the W-League. Maybe, with national team selection being uncertain, she decided to get on with her life off the field.
I don't know if it was Lorrie Fair or not, but I'm pretty sure the guy you're referring to is Tim Sahaydak. He went to UNC, she went to UNC. I know he was dating a USWNT member, I can't remember if it was her. Go here for a pic... http://www.wsoccer.com/leagues/mls/fusion/sahaydak.htm
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Tim Sahaydak was dating Tiffany Roberts. Maybe he dated both. I don't know.
I believe it was Roberts and Sahaydak. Darren Sawatzky played for NE in the first season. I went to their first few home games that year and everytime NE would sub him on, we would all being saying "Who's the girl?" With the long blonde hair and they way he wore it, he looked like a girl from higher up in the old Foxboro stadium. We found it amusing then, but maybe you had to be there. Anyway, back to the topic of this thread: Lorrie Fair. I just wish she would stop asking such leading questions when trying to do interviews. It's almost like she's trying to show off her soccer knowledge, instead of letting the coaches speak for themselves. She seems to keep asking question where the coach's only options are answering "yes, that's correct" or (what we've heard) "no, not really." Why not just ask open ended questions like "what did you tell the guys at half-time?" or "what are looking to change in the second half?" When she asks the loaded questions, and the coaches don't happen to be on the exact same wavelength as her, she doesn't get good responses. Perhaps she should ask an open ended question first and then follow up with a more loaded/direct question that can be related to the direction the coach wants to talk about. As for her attractiveness, yes she is attrative, but I don't see the need to have thread about it or discuss it at length. Professor B
