This is very interesting and possibly explains why Florentino out of no where wanted to put up percentages of the club for sale in specific ways. I want people that felt what RMTV has been doing for over a year was justified or in any way appropriate to kindly sit this one out. This is exactly what the club has been for a long long time. Feels like every other year there's a huge Florentino moment, maybe just like with the Superleague supernova, they win the CL next season and sweep this one under the rug, just like all his other "the press are against us" press conferences. If the team would be in the CL final right now and would have won the league last week and he would've said the same things, this place would be giving Florentino a standing ovation for the same exact statements. When you say "man, this team is so hard to like, I can't put my finger on it", Florentino came along and helped you out with that. It's not the players. The entire institution has been about hate and division for a long time.

I don't think I identify with the direction of the club and neither does the club Identify with what some fans feel like this club should represent. Meanwhile, the people that identify with a player that flashes the amount of trophies he/the club has won when he's losing, are surely not finding it hard to along with a present who talks about the amount of trophies that he's won when he's losing. There's a reason things are how they are and it's just consequence not coincidence. I don't mean it as an insult or a compliment. The club and your view of it are very much in alignment right now. If that "long time" was "since Florentino took over" then your argument would have made sense. But the dark turn happened just a few years ago, which is a small portion of Florentino's entire tenure. The Super league gambit and the Mbappe chase were the signs.
He also gave another press conference where he practically just stood there attacking journalists by name. It was CELEBRATED here because it happened during the 3 consecutive CL trophies. This is a man that said traveling to the east coast of the US is only a few hours by plane so why couldn't Real Madrid play in the NBA? It is by operating in the absurd that Florentino made most people here follow Real Madrid because that is arguably what happened. Without him this club is nothing like it is now. Some people have been criticized him. The past two seasons have been bad, but Perez could turn things around. But I was more concerned with when he would finally leave. He is 79 years old. He won't last forever.
