Because Clearly the line between one of the most powerful men in the sport and a guy with a SpongeBob profile Pic with a real Madrid badge on it is practically inches from another. How dare those forum members not live up to the same standard of the club president and multi millionaire mogul.

Wow the old timer really doesn't like the boos.. All these theatrical charades have been meticulously timed to distract the Bernabeu and smother any backlash before it erupts. If the fans are entitled and their minds were hijacked by evil doers and anti-Madridistas, why is he so afraid of their boos?
Is he intentionally trying to sound like Trump or is it a common thing among 80 year olds with frontal lobe dementia?

I think it's a very valid point. The process is there for everyone to know. If he wants to run, let him run per the rules of the process. What idiot asks for changing the rules of an election in the middle of an election, and what idiot will agree?

I’m sure we will go after the star player of this World Cup. He hasn’t changed in that aspect I would assume.
This puts a lot of what happened yesterday in perspective.
In my view, almost nothing from that presser or interview deserves to be taken at face value. Perez and JAS had two clear objectives: - Suffocate the Riquelme campaign before it could even breathe: deny them time to organize, campaign, or secure funding. Though frankly, I suspect the outcome is already written either way. Perez's body language spelled unease and anger yesterday. - Smother the anger of the socios before tomorrow's game when the Bernabeu turns into a chorus of boos and white handkerchiefs. Hence the predictable farce: shiny transfer promises, the Negreira/Anti-Culer smokescreen, media conspiracies and evil powers secretly plotting to destroy Real Madrid and transform it into Iraq…I mean Utd. Everything else was just recycled propaganda wrapped in grandiose rhetoric; empty fillers from a senile president desperately trying to distract from failure and deflect blame.
He did not say which players. It is not like we have a great transfer policy the last couple of years.
🚨 Florentino Pérez: “When there’s a great player, a top one… I go for him”.“We always signed the best. I signed Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo Fenomeno, Beckham”.“Then I signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaká, and Benzema. When there's a best, I will bring him in”, told Chiringuito. pic.twitter.com/XFtP7S73RV— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 13, 2026 Didn't mention any current player. Good. That's a message to a couple of guys hopefully. Must do much better to be considered "a best".
I agree with the second one, definitely a strategy there. But for the first, I’m sorry, if you didn’t anticipate this, you’re not operating at the level of what is required to be the president of RM, and you’re not worthy of stepping into the ring with Florentino. That letter iss pathetic knowing full well what it takes to change the statues. It’s not up to Florentino to make that call.
I'm sure Riquelme anticipated it and was somewhat prepared for it. Perez did it to him once before (2021?).
🚨 Florentino Pérez: “Kylian Mbappé’s mission is to score goals. And he scores a lot.Perhaps there are OTHERS WHO SCORE FEWER GOALS.” pic.twitter.com/CMoHTK0HZw— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 13, 2026
Riquelme made such a bad first impression with his rant in 2021. I expect better candidates in post Florentino era that keeps Riquelme away then too.
I cannot believe anyone is buying this contrived narrative by Florentino that there are forces in the shadows out to get him. I am assuming those dark forces are responsible for his failed transfer policy the last couple years, the revolving door of coaches, and allowing the players to act like spolied brats. If the sporting project was at least somewhat decent this would not be happening. He has 3 more years in this term, he wants an excuse to call a last minute election with little opposition so he can then wash away the horrible last 2 year and pretend they did not happen. I find it quite pathetic.
