Its all about asses in the seats. Hopefully he will help put them there. I like his ideas about getting MLS on over the air TV channels. That move will help increase visibility for the league.
Good lawd Buzz, it sounds like you and I wrote that article. Prime example of the 'trickle down effect' - or the 'ripple effect'. While shiz does roll downhill, so does enlightened and non-suppressive leadership/inspiration. [Alanis] Isn't it ironic?.. that one Mr. Swift, departing from the suppressive HSG moves, is now in a position to be a growing, nurturing cause that effects all of MLS and US Soccer? [/Alanis] Something tells me that, while all Hunt's are created equal, not all Hunt's realize their/our growing potential by investing (in) our diversity. I love AEG (ok HSG, I love you too, but I'm not going to tell you because taking away my support is the only expression I can make in order for you to awaken from your deluded state - that diversity isn't our greatest unifying strength). © 2004 Musketeers of Life. Sometimes one can comment on a thread with an insightful take or alternate point of view. Sometimes, you have to realize that you cannot say it any better and say "Amen brother". Hey Andy, (via Tobias), Amen brother.
I love Greg Elliot as a GM. I think time will show that he is as capable an exec as there is in this league. But any organization that forces out a person like Andy Swift is an organization that is capable of making a terrible decision at any time.
