I enjoy watching Mexican futebol on Univision even though I don't speak Spanish.

My question is: Are there any magazines that cover the league on a weekly or monthly basis that are written in English? Also, are there any magazines that cover the league on a weekly or monthly basis that are written in Spanish but are geared for a beginner reader?

    Thanks

Yeah these boards are the best when it comes to the most important stuff about MFL. When it comes to stats other websites like mediotiempo.com do a good job keeping track of stuff.

I remember buying that magazine that's still around today, Tiro de Esquina in the mid-90's and it was crap. The mag's color pictures were offset so badly you had to have 3D glasses to make out anything; perhaps this was intentional? I haven't bought an issue in two years but they have improved greatly. Remember how they would list the field conditions each game and they would always be rated as crap especially both Monterrey clubs. The ref would be rated also.

Tiro de Esquina is still being published ? Haven't seen an issue up here in Northern Cali in a long long time. I usually get Senor Futbol. They use newsprint instead of the glossy pages but I like it.

I concur that these boards are the place to be for MFL info.

Try finding Soccer Mania magazine. It's in Spanish, but you should enjoy it. It's published by Editorial Televisa.

It comes out every week, is about 80 pages long, uses glossy paper, and has tons of color photographs and pictures in it. It covers all the previous week's matches, and contains many statistics and charts which should be easy to follow even if you don't know Spanish.

It also follows the reserve squads, national team, international tournaments, and keeps an eye on leagues in places like Argentina and Spain.

It's only $2.50, which is very cheap for it's good quality.
