I think I'm definitely getting a big ahead of myself here, but, I wanted to know, if based on my current 'curriculum' I could get a job in the CPSL. So far, playing pro soccer seems like a good choice for me....I also know at this point, or even in a couple of years, I won't be MLS-calibre. LOL
    So here it is:
I'm basically going to list only my HS experience... I'm still a sophomore, though.
Freshman year: started single game for my school's freshman team (used a stopper, def. and attacking center mid, and outside mid. both sides, as well as a striker). Sophomore year: one of 2 sophomores to play in every varsity game, one of 3 to get any playing time 'period'.
Also, I'm seriously considering looking into a job in the A-League. But doing some initial reserach never hurts, even at such an early point.

    Bye

Thanks in Advance for Any Help!

You could always try to contact the various CPSL teams. Also, what about the PDL?

Never really thought of it... To tell you the truth, my dream has always been to be able to support myself by playing the sport I love <soccer>. So two questions arise, 1. Would I be able to support myself by playing in the PDL? 2. Given that I start the next two years in my high school team, you think that could give me a pretty good chance of grabbing a job in the PDL???

    Bye

    Thanks in Advance--Again!

You won't be able to support yourself while playing in the CPSL. The league is just semi-pro, which means most people have day jobs.

What about me possibly getting a job on the PDL? Do those people have day jobs as well other than playing soccer??

PDL is basically for college players with a few 'veterans' scattered around the league.

Unless you're an MLS caliber player you're not going to make a living playing soccer. As far as your highschool stats go, big deal. Not trying to disrespect you, but every single college player (even at the D3 level) has stats like that. The best youth players are playing year around on select traveling teams. If you aren't already you should look into joining one. I spent a summer on a PDL squad and rarely saw the light of day. The guys in that league are really good. It's much harder to be a pro in North America than you might think.

Go to some obscure country like Zimbabwe like Ethan from Survivor and Andrew Shue did.
