Yea..... so I would be interested in joining a carpool from the Queens / Nassau area to go to Metrostars home games, starting with this Saturday, 9/13/03. If anyone is interested, please let me know..... Thanx boys!
i know a carpool! you get there by a train to 42nd street/port authority (N,W,1,2,3,7,9). Then pay 6.50 for a ticket, go to the place where the big car picks everyone up to go to giants stadium. j/k
Some advice to anyone in the Nassau/Suffolk area who goes to Metro games: Best way is take the LIRR to Penn. Walk 7 blocks (or subway one stop) to PA. Take the $7 round-trip bus to the Meadowlands (ticket window on the platform in the back of the south building betw 40 and 41 st). Driving is a hassle from LI. Traffic going there. Construction on the way back.
If anyone is driving from Strong Island, keep in mind there is a Yankee game from 1-4pm, so between 4 and 5:30 or so the Deegan/Cross Bronx/GWB situation will be a nightmare. Might want to do the Belt/Verrazano/Goetthals deal and attack Jersey from the south, or take the midtown to the Lincoln. Later days.
oh man that's right..... Yankees traffic..... I was at the game last night..... they are playing Tampa Bay..... combined with thwe bad weather.... hopefully traffic won;t be too bad? One day I may try the PA Bus thingy...... but not for a while
so..... is there any last second interest in a Queens / Nassau car pool? Cause if not..... oh well...
So is there a carpool up for grabs for the LHUSOC Cup semifinal at Rutgers coming from Queens / Nassau? And an extra ticket would be helpfull as well...
