My neighbor and I booked our flights from Memphis, TN this morning to be in London for the match against Charlton on 3/1. First trip to Highbury! We're hoping to see about 3-4 other matches involving other teams while we are there. This is a no-wives, no-kids, football only trip! We can't wait!

My first and only trip to Highbury was the Charlton match last year. If you know the result, you know it wasn't Arsenal's finest hour and a half. Still, it hardly tainted the Highbury experience.

    Lucky bastard is right.

Thanks. We are hoping to catch some other matches, other places, during our stay. The ENTIRE purpose of our trip is to watch football. The Arsenal match will, of course, be the pinnacle, but we want to catch as many matches as we can.

    Thanks.

Ive checked the fixtures list on soccerbase and soccernet.com and, for now, there appears to be a dearth of activity around 2/27-3/3. Aside from the 3/1 matches, I think the Worthless Cup final is 3/2, and Norwich is at home 3/2, but, as of now, there do not appear to be any matches that Thursday, 2/27, Friday 2/28 or Monday 3/3.

Question: Do you think there will eventually be some matches scheduled for those days after TV selections and postponements are taken into account?

We also really want to see at least one really small club, like Canvey Island or Hendon or something.

Now, everyone, back to your lives.....

    N4 again
As regards Prem games, the decision on which are televised around end-Feb/start-Mar hasn't been taken yet (won't be 'til December, if I remember rightly). So all games are still listed for the Saturday (televised games tend to get moved to Sun, maybe Mon or even Fri, of course).

Other events (cups, matches postponed due to weather) will break up the calendar further, as you guessed.

Get the Arsenal tickets as soon as you can, but other matches are likely to be available nearer the day.

    Hope you enjoy the visit.

P.S. - chicago_fan - you have my sincere sympathy. Awful.

It looks like the other matches might be the following:

    Norwich v. Ispswich 3/2 1 p.m. This is a rivalry, I believe

    Villa v. Birmingham 3/3 8 p.m. This is also a local derby.

I hope we can score tickets to these two matches. Any suggestions?
