He played one game for the senior team of Atalanta, three with Perugia, and seven with Rieti. I think he played with the youth teams of Atalanta as well.

Man, playing in Serie A is quite an acheivment for anyone, let alone a 19 year old Canadian striker.

I don't think Atalanta were in Serie A at the time.

If what we saw today was a good example of the way he plays, we've got alot to look forward to with this kid, both fans of TFC and the Canadian National Team. He was brilliant out there today.

Absolutely. Played really well in the Canada-Argentina game the night before as well. With Alecko possibly still out next Wednesday, and Dichio out on the red card, Lombardo seems the logical choice to suit up alongside Buddle. Not minding that one bit. He's a great target man.

we have three serie a guy on our team now... dichio, lombardo and o'brien. these guys aren't picked up by teams of that calibre if they're garbage.

together they only played a handful of games but the fact is, they were part of their clubs... on paper, we have some pretty strong characters - mls mvps, first overall draft piacks, college standouts and numerous national team members all over the world.
