I'm done with Arace, unsubscribed from the Crew and CBJ pod. He spent half the CBJ pod talking about how he hated the final, which has the highest tv ratings in over 10 years and has been universally praised as one of the lest in for a while.

Dude is a tool. Sucks there are no good Crew pods and no really great CBJ pods (Front and Nationwide is ok).

And so it begins, all over again. That 2 year cycle of getting someone who has no idea of what they are doing... Though with the World Cup, there might be someone with at least a passing interest.

 

Clearly you don't know how this game works. The Crew beat is for the newbest of newbs. The fresh out of college kids. And after they have cut their teeth and proven themselves, after about a couple of years, they get bumped up to a better beat. Heck, iirc, the new one will mark the third since Adam Jardy who covered STC, though they did bring Shawn Mitchell back from who knows where IIRC. Jardy got pretty good then he went to OSU basketball. His replacement got up to speed quickly and she ended up leaving for WAPO, and now we are losing another. Just give us Shawn Mitchell back. The best reporter I've seen here

Please, tell me why it’s bad that I want competent reporters that ask good questions covering the Crew?

If you think the conglomerate that is USA Today cares about the Crew, let alone the Columbus Dispatch, I don’t know what to tell you buddy! I am not saying that the Dispatch is going to go out and hire away an already established reporter, I was wishcasting because, as you know, the Dispatch doesn’t give a fvck about soccer. But yes, after two beat reporters that didn’t care enough to learn the game sandwiched between a fine reporter that lasted 6 months, sorry for wanting and wishing for a GOOD writer.
Maybe this new college graduate will have watched a soccer game in their life and can understand the game a bit, is that too much to ask for?
