Current logo but I must admit it caught my eye as I was leaving and I do not know what kind of glass but it was smaller than a patron bottle if that helps.

Yeah, I googled what a generic pack looked like. Saw it was reposado instead of blanco, so I'll pass. Nice catch though.

Is it really so difficult to learn how to properly pronounce the names of the players that you cover for your job? Both the Massive Report Podcast and the Soccer Speakeasy cannot pronounce Taha Habroune’s last name, and, if I am to be extra critical of the Speakeasy, I wish Arace would tell Brianna how to pronounce the last name of Malte correctly. No, it is not Adamson.

    Yikes.

This is levels of bad approaching ESPN or anyone who thinks Mr. Messi's first name is pronounced like the model train company.

At the game on Wednesday. Malte himself noted in a brief clip that no one says his first name right...

Yep. It’s pronounced like mel-deh, but he understands the Americanization of his first name, haha. I still don’t think it’s an excuse to completely get his last name wrong

Just hit play to hear the announcement. Ooof. This podcast has a tone like none other. Arace has never been shy about calling out the powers that be. 26 years working at the Dispatch on the sports beat. This is another blow to independent coverage of the team--with institutional knowledge & perspective.

Maybe he could do some guest work with Massive Report or something. Pretty rough news though.

The new person will probably be someone from Canton (where the Dogpatch is now printed) using Apple TV to watch the games. Assuming they get anyone.

With Nextstar buying Tegna, the media landscape in columbus will not be getting better anytime soon/ever. I prefer the Tegna stations in both Cleveland and Columbus. Viewers disagree with me, at least in Columbus. 10TV has not been doing that great per Common Man.

Oh? I missed the move to Canton. I guess that's why I'm hearing reports of it being delivered around 1 or 2am sometimes and not 5 or 6am (which might seem more logical).

I would think that the Crew might benefit from the consortium arrangement. Cleveland well cover the Browns etc., and Cincy the Bungles and Reds, and Columbus will provide everyone with tOSU coverage.

Meaning theyll.need to keep some cheap drones around a sports operation, and in theory they can keep an eye on the Crew when nothing else is going on, although soccer will be way behind the Bluejackets and Buckeye women's skeet shooting.

But Arace is a real loss, no question.

Not sure when that happened, but the paper got a little longer and a little skinnier a couple of weeks ago. Mrs KG thought I was crazy when I noticed it (she does have reasons), but turned out I was right. Part of my editor's training back in the day was pattern recognition.

I forget what radio station (either WBNS or WTVN) once, in mid February, started talking about what Tressel had for breakfast that morning. TMI.

Yesterday, almost all of the 5 pm broadcast was taken up by Buckeye stuff. I get it, but was hoping to see a bit on the baby elephant shower at the zoo. They had about 30 seconds at the end of the hour. We were hoping Mrs KG got on, as they did shoot some footage (she did get into the Dogpatch photo gallery).

When it was first bought out by USA Today, it was getting printed in Indianapolis if memory serves. They stopped using the facility on the West Side.
