Brianna has been good capturing the human side. I don't think you'll get tactical sickos writing stories for the Dispatch any time soon, and the Dispatch isn't trying to capture those readers because the general public doesn't get that deep. Got to sign up for Soccerwise for that sicko stuff.
Go back 20 years ago. The line from the Dispatch was that they weren't in the business of marketing the team and the attention from them would come when the fans started coming. We'd maybe get 15-17k on a good night (plus a promotion or two) with tons of empty seats at every game and then complain the Dispatch would give us an article on the back page or somewhere in the middle of the section. Perhaps they were on to something.
Shawn Mitchell? Or was Craig Merz really all that bad (he was) and Shawn just seemed halfway competent? Adam Jardy wasn't terrible, was he?
All I’m saying is, if you’re gonna put out a product that people want, make it good (or at least decent). If you’re just gonna put out any ol’ junk, that you know is junk, and shovel it at people then that insulting. Newsletter is great, but it needs to be better than what coverage is currently offered, otherwise it’s just the same shit we’ve been complaining about for years but repackaged to try and fool people.
I get all the info I need from here, Reddit, and the MLS insiders, so I’m fine with that. It’s the Dispatch that’s losing out. They could corner this market in two seconds with minimal effort, and they don’t. Their loss.

You can’t put in no effort for years and then promote a subpar product and all of a sudden expect people to come storming back.
I know they are tweeting this out for the link to the live updates page (which Brianna uses instead of Twitter fyi), but you could have had a better scheduled tweet
