The Dispatch has the Crew reporter covering the Minnesota match while she is in an airport traveling to cover OSUWB/Iowa tomorrow
Why couldn't they have sent her to Minnesota and then put her on a flight to Iowa after the game? Hell, she probably could just rent a car and drive down to Iowa City.
Cause the dispatch acts poor and the university has a bigger pull on the paper's coverage than the haslams She also mentioned/tweeted that her experience is in and aspirations are covering women's sports
Meanwhile, someone with experience covering the Crew for Massive Report recently walked away from that gig. I'm not saying he'd want to, but it'd be just about perfect.
This tells you OSU womens basketball gets more views than the Crew for the Dispatch. Quit giving them engagement.
Basically, each STM could get eight tickets per account. They were woefully unprepared and lots of people didn't get into the two-hour event until under 90 minutes remained.
Yeah i was there it was not well organized, not properly communicated and i had someone else season tickets to get in. But they opened it up to general public. I think they should just do something at the stadium for season ticket holders. Do something separate for the public.
With the CBA, I doubt they could. Unless the CBA drastically changed in recent years, there's nothing preventing players from doing postgame autographs as long as they get paid. It's obvious the kids still go crazy for them. It would have been a lot more efficient to do it at the stadium with tables set up around the concourse. As fans do a lap around the concourse, they get to the next table with players. They also could have cut the lines at whatever time. Everybody in line would have been guaranteed one autograph. It was like when they had the weather delay or when Levy took over concessions. Those may have been those individuals first time handling those situations, but it wasn't the first time *for* those situations.
I bought one myself as well. Doubt the article is anything special, but when they put the Crew front and center you have to support them.
I got it at Kroger, magazine rack. At the Kroger I go to the magazine rack is right in front of the secondary entrance.
Literally the same article that was getting quoted earlier in the thread, that's Columbus Monthly as well.
We've slagged on our beat reporter for not knowing the game. It could be worse. NBC, in their infinite wisdom, will be sending Al Tirico, as usual, to the Olympics. This year's team also includes Peyton Manning and, for some reason, Kelly Clarkson. Apparently Jimmy Fallon will also be joining them. I guess Tara Lipinski and Johnny Wacko...errr... WeirD are unavailable. Or they'll also be there, which won't be a surprise at all. Kelly Clarkson has no idea what a shuttlecock is. And they wonder why people pirate feeds from England or just don't watch. Of course, this is the same outfit who broke away from taped coverage of the London closing ceremonies to show some dumb sitcom which didn't even make it to a second season.
Back off Kelly Clarkson., I like her. They are commentating on the opening ceremony not the Olympic games. Who watches the opening and closing ceremonies any ways. They are boring!
It's NBC though. As good as some of their stuff is, their Olympics coverage has lacked for quite some time.
I don't blame Kelly Clarkson for not knowing what a shuttlecock is. Also, I would pay money to hear Kelly Clarkson talk about shuttlecocks for a hour at a time.
