The Charlton reservist who is a dual US/UK citizen played for England's U19 team in a friendly against Germany.

Obviously, because it was a friendly, he's not cap-tied, but it should pretty much end any debate about which country he'd prefer to play for.

I would have liked to have seen him given a look by Rongen - espeically since our U23 team could use a right mid - but I'm not gonna lose any sleep over this one and if the kid prefers to play for England, I wish him the best.

A quote from Sam: "Playing for my country will be a dream come true."

England has qualified for the U-20 WC, so there's a chance he could cap-tie himself this fall.

He's said, repeatedly, that he didn't ever want to play for the US. No real suprise, I guess.
