Both Bruno and Nolito deserve to be on the team.

Isco is a questionable omission but Saul definitely deserved a call up

Why those two deserve to be on the team?

No, Isco is not questionable omission, especially considering Fabregas, Pedro and co. made the cut. As for Saul its completely asenine decision.

Because they have had fantastic seasons? Believe it or not, there are good players outside of Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico

Correction: Nolito had a fantastic half season. Bruno is great though and deserved the call up

Well true, Nolito was injured for a bit of it. Still, he provides an incisive goal threat from the wing that no one else on the NT does. I mean he is much more deserving than Pedro for example.

There are good players outside of Spain to, believe it or not. There are number of players out there who had a "fantastic" season, and it still does not mean they should play in NT.

I would pick Isco and especially Saul before Nolito, also Gabi - who had a fantastic seasons before Bruno. Not to mention there is Javi Martinez who can also cover two positions.

Agree on Bruno and Nolito, however Isco should be there for sure. Especially his second half of the season.

LMAO at Pedro and Cesc, if VDB plays Casillas then it's over for Spain. Feel bad for our Spanish Madridista.

I'm actually really unsure who is looking good for the euros. I would have said France but no Benz and banking on Giroud won't wnd well.

Edit - totally forgot barta made it LOLLLLL. Btw how come the Sevilla Vitolo didn't get a look? I am usually impressed with his play on the wings. VDB with yet another poor squad selection ala WC.

You guys actually think DDG will start over Iker? Ha!

I was thrilled for Vasquez until I realized Isco hadn't been picked. VDB only has a select few Madridista(current and former) spots on his squad so if Vasquez made it, then Isco surely wasn't. I do feel terrible for him but I also think it may be good for him to spend some time with his son this summer. I knew that was an issue for him during the season.

Really sad for Saul....he deserves a call more than Lucas tbh, both more than Pedro though.

To be fair (and believe me it hurts to defend these 2), Pedro seems to perform for the NT despite his club situation. The issue is VDB is too afraid to completely hand the reigns to the new generation who are doing well with their clubs. Oh and of course his aversion to choosing our players comes into this as well.

Not sure I quite agree with this. If Vazquez was still playing for Espanyol, no way does he get the call up

I don't know, Vasquez won't be a starter for Spain (same as Madrid) but has shown that he is a valuable player off the bench. Likely will play a similar role for Spain and could make a big difference.

Monchi stays at Sevilla as club reject his request to leave, and say he must honour contract. Any club wanting him must pay €5m clause.

Debatable. Guys like Nolito and Audriz were ignored for years and made it this year. Lorenthe and Asensio were called up( even for a little) while playing for Espanyol and Rayo.

If Bartra was playing for Real, no way he gets the call up.

Perhaps. The main point is that playing for Madrid or Barcelona will give a player much more visibility even if they are just on the bench most of the season. How come someone like Lucas Perez wasn't even given a look?

I hope Croatia doesn't make it out of the group and Mamic goes to jail in the meantime.

I dont have much respect for VDB anymore, but I dont think thats true. He did call up Nacho didnt he? I dont think he intentionally ignores our players, but he does seem to always call up garbage Barcelona players even when they dont get any playing time. I remember when he called up Montoya over Carvajal, or the laughable call ups to Munir and Tello after barely making their debuts with Barcelona. Other than Callejon and Isco, I cant think of many cases where our players were outrageously left out by VDB.

Perhaps VDB called Pedro and Lucas while omitting Isco because he wanted to have at least two very direct players on the team, and in midfield it gets crowded with all the options.

Calling Montoya ahead of Carva shows he's either dumb or has an agenda. Nacho started more games than Bartra and is a more solid defender. His bias is obvious. I bet Isco gets snubbed until he leaves RM for regular first team action. Two set of rules. His hatred for Florentino has made him a bitter tool towards RM as well.

you just mentioned enough to proove that. for me it's enough to knwo he called Munir after couple good weeks but Callejon did amazing with Napoli and waited at least more than a year to get a call.

Bartra making any squad is a joke. He is ********ing awful and behind Mathieu for Barcelona. I'd be shocked if they don't sell him this summer.
