I may have missed it but I don't recall seeing a report on the final evaluation of Carlos's knee, the treatment plan and if he is out for the remainder of the season.

I'm also unclear what the Revs options are if he is declared out for the remainder of the season. I'm fairly sure we eat his Cap but I also think with him on the disabled list we can sign someone in his roster slot.

Anyone know his status and the MLS (Jello) Rules in such matters.

I think it was Gus' article that said something to the effect of "...now that Carlos Llamosa is out for the season, the Revs need to look at other options." in referring to the Avery John situation.

But you are correct, I don't recall any "official" statement on how his knee was doing. He was walking without crutches at the Harvard scrimmage and at the opener. I asked Brad Feldman when I saw him at Harvard, and at that time (2 weeks ago) it was too early to tell, but he said it was clear that he'd be out for a long time, maybe July-August at best, if not the season. He was to have gone for another exam that week, but I haven't heard anything either way.

They used to allow cap relief for injured major players a few years ago, but not anymore. If he is indeed out for the season, my guess is that they'd let us put another player on the roster, but we'd have to fit his salary under the cap, which would include Llamosa's salary whether he played or not.
