Livvy won easily 2-0. Hibs were just not at the races today. Lilley and McCalister got the goals. Livvy's 9000 support celebrated while Hibs 40000 went home unhappy.
I saw the 2nd half thanks to Five's brilliant commentary. They did they're old trick of announcing the wrong goal scorer for the 2nd goal - McPhee apparently scored! The proverbial game of 2 halfs. Hibs were dominant in the 1st but had no cutting edge, while Livi had the more experienced players and took their chances well in the 2nd. I guess those 40000 Hibees can go back under that rock the came out from!!!
It's a shame we had to have all the patronising "family final" comments about it... the same that happened in 1997 for Kilmarnock v Falkirk or basically any other non-OF final in recent years (well, the last 15 years ). I guess the term was coined back in 1991 when the Brothers Grim squared up to each other in the Motherwell - Dundee United final, but it's not neccessary to apply it to each and every subsequent cup final, it's just as important whether or not one of the OF are there..
