I am asking some of the more knowledgable fans about Liverpool what is the problem. Why did it seem that we couldnt win. Please post some reasons.

How in depth would you like?

Throughout the slump, which may or may not be turning around depending on who you speak to, the highlight has been horrific midfield play. Every aspect has been sorely lacking: tackling, possesion, inspired through balls, defensive pressure, offesive creativity, it all sucked. Add to that several out of form strikers and commuication issues with the back 4, and you have the ingredients for a nuclear crisis.

If you want specifics about why Diao can't work with the ball to save his life, why Stevie G. couldn't take the ball from an 80 year old lady for a good month, why Owen couldn't hit the backside of a barn with a banjo, or how Dudek could Bill Buckner a ball through his legs like that, we can go into greater detail. . . (most of it is space issues up front, and poor communication in the midfield and back, but that's just my opinon).

The total lack of confidence hasn't been helping either. Let's hope a few star players (not naming any names) stay on track Sunday so we can trounce those blue SOBs.
