Klopp lost a vital player and had a very poor season by his standards too. Think it's a combination of lots of things, injuries, mental exhaustion, etc. But Klopp came back and won trophies, and think there's no reason Pep can't do the same.

Difference I guess, Klopp didn't have some sanctions to face... that's the real x-factor.

I think he has upped his defensive game because of Bradley.

Every single one of them was fantastic. We should have had them dead and buried after 20 minutes. I was very uneasy at the start of the 2nd half about the fact that we hadn’t put them away, but I bet if we watched it back we would realize there was nothing to be worried about. They created nothing.

What a dream week. Long way to go, but what a position we find ourselves in. Even better news than the table is the performances. We are playing like champions and getting better all the time.

The difference is that Klopp had experience building at Mainz and Dortmund; he’s been thru adversity. Pep has only ever been given the keys to machines and made them more brutally efficient.

They were flat. Gifted a chance by VVD, that's their best opportunity. And that was at 2-0. And Kelleher smothered it.

When Jurgen left, I genuinely worried that it would never be that good again. For Slot to have us playing this type of football and have is this position this quickly is truly remarkable.

Nothing has been accomplished yet, but I’m just so grateful to be in the position once again. Liverpool are top of all leagues, and on current form, they are the best team in Europe.

Or maybe it was his 6-in-a-row losses?

If you want to find out where Haaland was all game, you might want to check vDijk's pockets

I was worrying about old Liverpool playing out-of-form teams back into form but needn’t have worried. Even when City started getting more of the ball in the second half, the danger was mainly being posed by Liverpool.

City's biggest chance came from....VVD playing around with the ball.

Otherwise....Lewis with a scuffed sidefoot shot?

just to be picky, it was the outside of his (left) foot.

seemed a very odd way to strike that ball given the time and space he had. trying to be cute I think.
