Virgil Endo Bradley Diaz all had very good games too, almost everything went through Diaz....should've had a hattrick, kept on going and gritted his way all game, happy he got the goal he deserved in the end.

We weren't ever really troubled apart from the goal, defence quietly went about their business.

Will we ever address this falling behind/conceding first in the first half of games?

Great to see him back in form. I would guess he will start the final. Bradley was subbed off early, likely because he is set to start the final. That means Joe Gomez would miss out which is very harsh on him because he’s been brilliant this season.

All of a sudden, fullback is the position where we have the most depth, which is ironic because it’s the position I would have liked to see us address in the January transfer window. It’s also ironic, because the best fullback in world football is currently out injured.

I wonder if Klopp and his staff are having discussions about how to best use Trent when he comes back from his injury.

Really good play - as he gave the ball away initially. the defender was like WTF - where did this guy come from.

Danns' slip pass to Gakpo was amazing, too

indeed. there are probably a fair few of us that would rather see Bradley at RB - so long as we can keep Trent's creative output on the field. He may pop up with a few more goals too.

Bradley's emergence is so perfect and very similar to the same way Quansah stepped out of the shadows. He removes to need to fork out cash for rb cover but even better has been the quality of his performances. Based on current form I can't really see Klopp sitting him on the bench once Trent returns. I feel those two will share rb and that's great for Klopp knowing he has two quality options now. He's a joy to watch tbh.

I think it’s 3 quality options. I think Klopp will want Joe Gomez on the pitch more often than not, and it doesn’t matter if it’s at right back or left back. Gomez gives us the defensive stability on one side that offers the freedom to Bradley, Robertson, or Trent on the other side.

Made of habit for himself over the years in being really smart in pinching the ball back on players' blindspots.

I know he was only on for like 2mins + the 8mins stoppage but his eagerness to physically engage himself from the get go was exactly the kind of impression the fans and probably Klopp wanted to see, not bad for a kid who just turned 18 last month.

I've never seen Danns mentioned in the Academy thread or elsewhere on the webs as one to watch.
I like that he's the first midfield/attacking player to come through the academy in quite some time who isn't pint sized.

    He's brilliant isn't he?

Doing everything and more than we could have ever asked. Only crying shame is we couldn't bring him in a few years earlier.

Hopefully has a lot of miles left on that clock of his.

He's been fast tracked from u18 to u21 football and has made an early impression there, as have a few of them. I only really start to take note of these kids when they make some noise at u21 level but it seems we're feeding more and more 16-18 year olds whereas in previous seasons (mainly before we moved to the new training ground) it was filled with a lot of 20-21 year olds like Lewis, Stewart, Longstaff, Glatzel, Koumetio etc.

He'll definitely start the final I think.

He was bombing forward in the build up to the last goal - made a misplaced pass - said -eff it, and became the crazy energizer bunny again for a moment, tackled it back and a couple of seconds later its in the net.....
    very nice stuff.....

Got around to watching the whole game; we were by far the better team in the first half just couldn't finish. Very satisfying game to watch, the kids were superb.
