Do we throw the kitchen sink at Atalanta to try to get something out of this season, or hold on hope that City and Arsenal will drop points? I am not even sure they can lift the sink at this point, lol.
Yeah we have to more or less see what we can get from a measured first half and then maybe the last 35 mins go all out and hope to not be sucker punched (which may of course happen).
Of course you do; so do we all. But you must know, you’ve been around long enough, it’s the football gods f.ucking with us. Why, you ask? Because they can, because they f.ucking can.
City goes deep in the CL you just never know. But can we win out? I somehow think if we turn Atalanta around the belief could be massive. If we had just won today sigh sigh sigh
You start everyone who just came back in a last ditch attempt to get them game sharpness and form and hope you win out and city and Arsenal stumble once more each. Could not care less about the EL.
THUD, or rather SPLAT. Reading some of the positive / hopeful(!) news above but all of it depends on the team miraculously turning its form around. But even Klopp doesn't seem to know what has gone wrong. Sad that his final season will now be remembered for a collapse at the end, but barring miracles this is the way it will be. In any event we really have to patch enough together to retain third and move into a new season with a new manager and some key new recruits.
And I'd also vote for releasing the kraken at Atalanta in hopes of turning the tie around; nothing to lose at this point.
Strangely I have not lost all hope, I have this feeling that City will lose a game and Arsenal will drop further points. Can we just find our form, that is the question.
Possibly Bajcetic who looked quite good last year. Morton also has been doing well with Hull and England u21's.
Villa isn't the problem - it's Citeh with a 2pt lead with 6 matches left. We simply cannot afford to drop any more pts and matches like Palace at home were the "easy" pts to pick up. I don't know what Klopp can do to motivate this team anymore but we need a miracle on 2 fronts. I just don't see how pretty much every player can play so poorly as of late - Endo, Szobo, Diaz, Salah, VVD, the list goes on. I would start Gakpo & Elliot next match to try to change the tide as Klopp needs a radical solution. 2 big away matches - get it it done, LFC!
Not Diaz. He's been good. we tried Gakpo and Elliott as starters against Atalanta. Didn't work. my front line next game would be Gakpo-Jota-Diaz.
