One final test for Scott Carson before we bring him back home, yeah? Also, are Xabi and Momo available or will they be kept out through injury? In case it's the latter, I'm leaving them off the teamsheet.

    Pennant---Zenden---Masch---Gonzo
    ---------Bellamy----Fowler

Isn't it part of the loan agreement that Carson can't face us?

Silly me, yes, I believe you're correct. In that case, there shouldn't be any reason not to end the season on a high note.

    I'll go with.......

    --------------Dudek------------

    Arbs------Sami-----Carra-----JAR

    Pennant---Gerrard--Masch---Arry

    -------Crouch--------Bellamy------

subs: Gonzo, Kuyt, Swagger, Zenden, Padelli

I'd like a few of our starters to get some game time & rest those with little niggles

I'd instruct Arry to get play as long as he can to get some match time into him, and then sub him off around 55-60 minutes for Gonzo.

Hopefully we can finish it off with a good win and third spot.

Charlton will hopefully just be going through the motions now they are confirmed to be playing CCC next year, so we can get the job done.

I'll say 3-0 to the good guys :)

yeah, fully agree with this line up, we want to go into the champs final with a winning feeling, important that we win this one.

this may be a little irellevant, but is it worth giving young anderson a run in this one? seen some highlights of recent reserves games and he is in 90% of them, maybe even just 15 minutes at the end.

With Charlton relegated today, hopefuly this will take some heat out of match. Try out some fringe players, avoid all injuries and lets get Dudek his last clean sheet for us.

    -----------Fowler----Bellamy-------------

I expect most fringers and young players on the squad since it is a mean nothing match but I dont know about the result becasue Charlton need the win to keep their little chance of staying in the Premership alive.

    2-1 Liverpool

Charlton are already relegated. They could leapfrog Wigan with a win, but that would still leave them in the bottom three.

I hope Rafa gives Anderson a chance, he has given Insua two games already.

Its the last home game of the season and you dont want your players to lose their sharpness- last game was enough of a rest- I expect a lot stronger team for this game.

I agree. Start with a strong team (not necessarily our first 11, but include most of the core group), then sub some of the kids in at around the 75' mark. Just make sure that Jerzy and Robbie get a chance to say goodbye to the Anfield faithful.

This is the last competitive game before Athens; the only players who should get a game are those who will be in the squad for Athens, in my opinion.

Plenty of time in the off- and pre-season to look at promising youngsters.

Agreed. Maybe not all of the first team will start, but I expect only those that are going to be battling for a place in Athens should be playing.

as finnan said, I think we need to field the preferred starters (except throw in GOD and Dudek for the chance to say goodbye). if we 'rest' people, it will have been three weeks between games. as it is, they'll still have 10 days rest between charlton and milan.

I won't venture a guess at a lineup, but I will say I hope we rest Carragher and Kuyt and play Finnan and Pennant.

God is playing but Rafa regrets that Jerzy is injured, or he would have.

It will be ashame if Jerzy doesn't get a run but it would be good to see what Padelli offers.

Interesting lineup. We could lineup like this:

    ----------------Padelli
    ----Arbeloa----Carragher---Agger
    Finnan--------Macherano--------Riise
    ----------Gerrard-----Zenden
    ----------Kuyt----Fowler (C)

Pretty much what I expected...although bit dissapointed to see Kewell not starting. Hopefully he'll atleast get the full second half...crucial to see where he's at.
