From sources? I'm still confused about his management this season - but at least those noises have died down.

so long as it isn't a repeat of the beating Villa and Madrid and then shitting the bed after.

Slot's needed to do a lot of juggling this season:
    (1) introduce new players and new tactics
    (2) dealing with very poor individual form from some of the old guard (Ibou, Mac)
    (3) having few rotation options due to no reliable backup (Joe not 100%)
    (4) dealing with slower-than-expected settling in (Wirtz, Isak)
    (5) recognizing Jota's death has affected some of the squad deeply
    (6) no Guehi then losing Leoni reducing backline options
    (7) media hysteria (and some glee of course)

What did all this do to the dressing room?

Until someone who was actually there writes a book (in a few years) we won't know what was happening within the squad during the weeks of those dreadful results, but it's safe to say it probably wasn't pretty and involved a lot of anger and some finger-pointing.

At this point I'm wondering if the Mo blowup after being benched might have been a catharsis of some sort and generated a much-needed clearing of the air. The team has looked a lot more focused and together, both without him playing and again on Saturday.

    Hopefully this will continue.

Agreed. Bottom line is we still need to add players.

Hopefully Slot wasn't as befuddled as we began to suspect; the evidence was there that he was tho in the form of the squad just not looking properly coached and prepared to play. I want very badly for Slot to succeed, last thing we need is another coaching transition on top of all the other problems.

No, no sources, more that he seems to have turned things around somewhat. We’re no longer losing, we’re seeing clean sheets, we’re seeing greater integration of new signings (Wirtz) and the willingness to pick the best side available (Salah). He’s getting things right. He has a lot more to get right, but baby steps, no?

Probably. He'd run out of position too often, I think.... but who knows.....

Still a lot of soccer to be played… but we do seem to have hit a floor and are looking a bit better at the moment. My guess is he’s safe as long as we have a legitimate chance at top four. But if we don't achieve that he’ll be gone.
