I don’t think we want a repeat of what happened last season. Crashing out in the 3rd round will be much less tolerated now that there is not a league title to be won. There will be heavy rotation, but we don’t have enough players available to field a decent team without using some of the first team. Anfield will host the draw for the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup. The draw is to take place before Liverpool’s third-round meeting with Barnsley on Monday night (7.45pm GMT kick-off). Former Reds players Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole will conduct the draw, which is scheduled for approximately 6.35pm GMT and will be shown live on TNT Sports.
It used to happen quite regularly when tied cup results would require a replay and that replay often happened after the draw for the next round.
