i think it's a pick two out of firmino, sturridge and lallana to start. the other will sub in. i'm pretty confident of a win, so we will likely lose.. sorry, fellas, that's the form i'm in right now.

I like that team, but I would be very surprised if Milner does not start.

Lucas needs game time. Milner and Allen to share the other spot.

Would be inclined to have Sturridge on the bench. He started the last one and don't want to break him .....

I've never felt so unexcited about the derby. Don't get me wrong, its always great to beat Everton, but I just feel like all my emotional eggs are currently in the Europa basket ..........

You can always jump out of the basket for a one off game like this one. ;)

Never, ever want to lose against this rabble. :)

Esp when one of my good mates is a bitter- he'd never let me hear the end of it.

A few things going for us: Everton will be focused on their Cup match on Saturday and have a few key injuries to boot.

Will certainly be interesting what lineup he puts out. He's going to want to take a look at somethings in advance of Villareal, but not give too much away.

We played a diamond against Dortmund once Sturridge/Allen came on, so I could see him going with the same lineup we finished that game with. Start Sturridge/Origi, get Sturridge/Origi off on 60 or 75 for Firmino/Lallana and rest Studge at the weekend. Perhaps even get Stewart in for Lucas at 75 to make sure he doesn't pick up any knocks before next Thursday.

Derby, eh? Just give me three points and a clean health bulletin. A clean sheet sheet would be nice, too.

Form doesn't usually mean much in the derby, but we are in good form and theirs has been poor. It seems like Everton are very down on Martinez and lots of in-fighting going on. One more nail in the coffin for Martinez if we can beat them.

I am still upset about Jagielka's last minute equalizer last season ... we should batter them .. but I will take a 1-0 win.

Origi is fit (little back problem at the end of Bournemouth) and Skrtel's groin problems continue.

Coleman and Jagielka out, with Lennon, Baines and Clevery doubts.

want this game to help us finish against United. I think Origi and Sturridge start to gain some chemistry for the Villa. Most of the resting will come on Sunday. That being said I think he knows what this game is like and from what he's said in interviews, is weary of injuries.
