Rafa is mindful of the danger that is little Mickey and will task Jamie with stopping him.

That taken care of, it's at the business end that we must be at our best.

i've given this a lot of thought, and the best i can come up with is that the lack of grils has so little to do with you, personally, that you shouldn't give it a second thought.

    but i could be wrong.

    have been before.

During the winter you don't really notice the lack of grills; summer, yes, but not really during the winter.

you weren't open enough to let us know where you are from, at least on your post pages, so it's very difficult to tell whether you suffer from some kind of odd cultural bias that would prevent you from discerning that the word "gril" is a commonplace substitution for "girl" in America, which is where i live.

but no matter...your sublime use of the semicolon makes up for whatever other deficits may be present in the rest of your post. i applaud that much!!!

belatedly, i wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ( not belatedly ).

Ok up early as miniLB and I are hosting Stig, Lanky and perhaps Lanky's partner K for a Boxing Day brunch to watch the game. That's if they wake up and find our house. Have to win today.

Same lineup as we had against Wigan, which IMO was our best performance of the season.

Been up since about 5 watching the Arse getting 3 cheap points. A handball penalty claim brushed off and Spuds snt off because he disagreed with Bennett.
Funny how you get a redcard for that yet fat frank can break a leg for a yellow.
2 minutes to 7, I'm ready. Gonna be a tough match, The one time when it's not little Mikey's time of the month.

Relatives have no FSW, so I'm stuck with Hunter this morning. Four shots in the first five minutes, apparently. . . at least we haven't crawled back into a shell after the Japan incident . . .

"1505: Shay Given makes a superb one-handed save at point-blank range to block Harry Kewell's volley." BBC

I coulda sworn Kewell blazed it over...

Damn. I was fully expecting to indulge in the Boxing Day tradition of sitting on the couch, slamming back leftover eggnog and ham, and getting exponentially more tense until we finally pipped a goal in the 85th minute.

I forgot that Rafa has a slightly different game plan than I'm used to from the Reds. (The rare "go ahead and put the ball in the net, but keep up the pressure after you've scored" plan.)
