(Let's not) Cheer up Peter Reid, a complete wanker, taking over a shite football team!

    Diouf is back.

    Jerzy
    Carra Hyppia D-jimmy Riise
    Diouf Gerrard Hamann Murphy
    Owen Heskey

What real choice do we have! Walk on and fight for fourth place! Not exactly stirring but ...

we couldn't win the FA Cup, so we did the next best thing. We appointed a manager whose head looks like the trophy.

  3. That seems to be our settled line-up;
I'd go with it as well.

We should be able to take full points. Leeds have been suspect all year; with the manager-change they have to be in some turmoil; and we are playing at Anfield.

If this starting eleven can't pick themselves up after the Celtic loss, rise to the occasion, and pummel Leeds, I'm not sure we deserve a CL spot next year....

Agreed with most here but Leeds are not a team of bums, there are some excellent players here who just can't get it together as a team. It's never easy with Leeds and we need it more than them. As you say "we need to rise...."

Viduka, Harte, Matteo, Mills and now Reid.

That's a whole helluva lot of monkey faces...

I'm home this weekend and looking forward to this game. Hoping we can redeem ourselves and push for 4th place (Wishing and hoping!)
One nice thing about living on an island in the Puget Sound is that technology hasn't quite caught up, the phone lines are still pretty slow.
(Maud on the switchboard is becoming quite a Liverpool fan)
I hope somebody is doing the comms for us. For me, you comms are the hightlight of the board now that FSW has turned into the ManU show.

I want to hear that Billy Bremner got the crap kicked out of him...!!!

That's why the West Coast is the wrong part of the country. Baseball and hockey at 10:00 PM, soccer at 6:00 AM.

    Silly fur'ner. :)

Looks like Batty might get a shot tomorrow if he's fit. Reid is suggesting it to ingratiate himself to the Leeds supporters.

Given that they've suffered from a lack of heart in the midfield this year, bringing Batty back might not be such a bad idea.

Hopefully Reid will let him take a penalty should they earn one.

    GOAL!!!

Michael Owen scores his 22nd goal of the season---left footed superb finish. A very bright start for the Reds. Diouf playing well down the right--he gets the assists.

Alan Smith (who according to tabloids is to be sold to us for 115 million) tries to respond right away to no avail. Eric Baake fouls Owen - freekick. Hamman sends volley wide.

Riise taken off briefly, but is ok to continue. Hunter calling Spud's goal magnificent.

The Kop is singing "Risdale are you happy now? " :D

Mills should have been booked for his tackle on Riise. 23 minutes gone 2-0 to the good guys.

Liverpool are rampant right now. Leeds are tackling like madmen, but Liverpool still getting forward. Hunter just called Mills a "dirty player".

Leeds throw in. Won by Traore. The referree is really letting Leeds get away with a lot of rough tackling.

Owen's run causes trouble. Throw in deep. Baake is getting booked for a rash tackle on Stevie G. Riise territory.

Miscommunication between Dudek and Gerrard leads to a corner for the Whites. Nothing comes of it though.

Diouf winning praise from Hunter. Heskey should have scored to make it 3-0. 5 minutes to halftime.

Leeds looking dangerous suddnely. Diouf makes a great tackle on Viduka (yes Diouf) in the box. Blow that whistle.

Stevie G has suddenly morphed into Chad Deering, he 's played really poorly the last 5 minutes or so. Viduka pulls Leeds back into the game on the stroke of halftime. Shocking defending.

Liverpool woke up a bit after the goal, but Gerrard's final passes were poor. Bad spell indeed. 2-1 as ref whistles halftime.
