Yeah, Skrtel in the back makes a lot more sense than Sami. Sami hasn't started in a long while so why would Rafa start him now? Skrtel has the earned starting position for the rest of the year. Plus, I like the way he pairs up with Carra. I don't like Arbs in the back either but we have no choice.

    Doh, I'm an idiot.

    You knew that already though.

I'm surprised Benayoun and Pennant were left off.

Lucas? Wow! Kid must be nails in training, or maybe Xabi has fallen so far from favor....

Class? Oh yeah, that's what I was supposed to go to this afternoon.

    Come on Liverpool!

Oh can we keep the comments chill during the game. If AnyLuckForWhoozit comes around and starts spouting off, I am going to kill someone.

I'm very surprised that Kuyt is starting. Maybe Rafa has some magic to make Kuyt look competent out there.

I'm blowing off class as well. Hopefully we'll win so I won't have to drown my sorrows and by virtue of that miss my evening class as well. Here's to another great european cup match at Anfield.

Dammit. I got offered a ticket for this about an hour ago. Had to turn it down because the missus is out at the gym and I'm left holding the baby. Literally.

Who'd have kids, eh? I suppose I could just leave them in the car ... no. Stop it.

I have that sick, nervous, tense feeling in my stomach right now. It'll be there until I get home late tonight and watch it taped, unless I can manage to duck out to the local.

Great flick on by Kuyt, Gerrard fouled in a dangerous area.

After we both did such a sterling job of clearing our fixture list for April 5th.... I hope that today and tomorrow will be turnaround performances for our teams.

    All the best.:)

Aurelio takes it and it goes over hitting the top netting. Poor free kick, but we are looking good so far.

No mention of the handball in the box?

It was ball to hand though so I can't complain too much.

We always look good. Finishing is our difficulty.

Babel is looking dangerous but I just worry that he will be giving the ball a little too easily. I haven't seen much from Torres yet.

Agreed. The ball was headed on goal though, oh well, I don't like the handball rule, it's all about how the referee sees it.

Another corner, Kuyt isn't looking that bad, not good, but not bad.

Kuyt has started very well, running behind the defence and linking up very well.

Hyypia forces Cesar into a save.

Aurelio swings wildly and horribly at a corner kick.

We are missing that final ball to give us more than half a chance.
