I know people are saying Benayoun will be centre instead of Gerrard, but I'm pretty sure it'll be Kuyt in centre, and Benny at the right. This is the formation I'm hoping for (not sure it'll be it though):

    ------------------------Reina----------------------
    Degen----Carragher/Hyypia-------Agger-------Insua
    -------------Mascherano-------Lucas--------------
    Benayoun----------------Kuyt-----------------Babel
    ---------------------Torres/N'Gog------------------

N'Gog might play because Benitez said something about both Gerrard and Torres not being 100% for that Chelsea game. And did I say Degen? Why yes, I did! Oops!
Of course if Steven is fit, I want Kuyt out and Benayoun on the right.

Degen is pretty much injured for the year and he wouldn't be trusted for such an important fixture regardless. I am presuming I missed the sarcasm.

Torres has played something like 25 or so games for Liverpool this season - Again for such an important fixture he will not be rested unless we go up by 2-3 goals.

Lucas is simply not the player to unlock a park the bus team - Alonso will start.

I don't know about you guys, but as much as i'm a fan of Kuyt in the wings, i HATE it when i see him as a second striker. In that role, the first touch is SO IMPORTANT, that many attacks brake down because of it.

I really hope bennayoun plays as a second striker, or that Babel leads the line and torres plays a bit off (Like he does for Spain).

Yeah, LOL I was being sarcastic about Degen. Alonso might get rested because there is a very important game against Chelsea coming up. Anyway, both Jason Roberts and Roque Santa Cruz are not going to play (Roberts, definitely not; Santa Cruz, highly doubtful), so I guess you are right, and we will need Alonso's passing, because they will be a team of defenders.

Tommy Smyth from ESPN actually said something on the CL highlight show.

People blaming Rafa and zonal marking for the problems we had against Chelsea wasn't the problem. It was the players. Too much is put on managers, the players need to come and perform.

This match the players need to show up.

Me too, I felt that Torres played up top as a target men and a decoy, while Villa went and hid. When Torres pulls the defence out of shape then Villa pops up, in the center. Voila!

Anyway, Blackburn......the leg breakers, Fat Sam's team will be upon us early. 4:30 in the AM here, before dawn, before the boids wake us up.
So, I have my trusty DVR set up so I can log in at any time after KO. I've gotten so I like to come in late, then I can skip over the pre match and half time adds.

On paper, reguardless of what come out of Sam's mouth, we should win but we know how that works out. I have no doubt that this game will be taken seriously by the team. Just don't over think it guys, Rovers are 14th in the league for good reason. With a Minus 15 GD, But they have drawn 10 matches...same as us!

    no there isn't.

the CL run from the Reds is over. Liverpool needs to concentrate on the EPL.

    sorry to burst your bubble.

Javier should have gone down on that, but that might hurt his status as the biggest man on the pitch.

Earlier on it was a kuyt breakaway, passed it to Masch, he was fouled from behind, kept going and shot, saved, torres comes for the volley and scuffed it
