This could be the next to last time we are on the telly this year. They'll show our Derby too

Nobody but walking wounded. I think we should go down playing football.

    Positives:

    1. The game is at Anfield.
    2. Arsenal have been in a bit of a slump recently.
    3. Gerrard is back.

    Negatives:

    1. We don't have a quality striker who is fit.
    2. We're not in great form either.
    3. Arsenal are a better team right now.

2 straight defeats, but not in the EPL. We beat Palace 3-2 in the game before 'boro.

This is the least confident I've felt going into a game in a long time.

    5-3-2

    ---------Kirkland
    ---Carragher--Hyppia--Traore
    Finnan-----------------------Riise
    ----------Hamann
    -------Gerrard---Alonso
    -------Kewell-
    -----------Pongolle

Maybe we somehow win 1-0 like last year against Chelsea. Where is Cheyrou and Heskey when you need them?

Me also, at the beginning of the season I thought we were going to have one of our greatest seasons, and minus the injuries we very well could've. I definitely don't feel very confident about the arse match. I have a feeling i'm not going to want to watch it.

Arsenal just drew 1:1 with West Brom at home; they're hardly hitting peak form as they face you. And since Cygan will likely still be playing, whoever you put up top, even if its Mrs. Elf, will have at least a couple chances to score.
Naturally, I'll be cheering for you in this game, although I must admit to naked self interest.

A fact to cheer you guys up:

Of all English top division teams, Arsenal FC lost the most time to Liverpool FC, kinda the boogey team (until recently, that is) :D

We do not have Mrs Elf, we have Neil Mellor. Could we please sell Neil Mellor to Sheff Utd, so that we do not have the temptation to play him? :)

If the reports that Wenger is thinking about playing Sol in today's CL match are true....than I would think he would surely be fit for the Liverpool match.

Regardless, Arsenal's form is not great right now.

Mrs. Elf, although not up to par in her trial three weeks ago, got a call back from RB last night. Rafa apologized for cutting her before, (pointing out that she couldn't run with the ball, and couldn't win it in the air), but then pointed out her technique of lifting her shirt up at certain strategic points was a more valuble skill than anything else we could put up front these days. (Also, he muttered something like "and she can still take on defenders better than fvcking Kewell".)

Alas, she has a very important meeting at work on Monday morning, and was not able to make the flight over. Any of you who want a run-out should really ring up Melwood though. Apparently, if you can point at the ground and shout "YOUR SHOES ARE UNTIED" over and over, you can wear the 10 shirt.

Taking my bitter, sarcastic hat off for one moment, I echo whomever it was that said this was the least confident he's been in getting a result in ages. Maybe the game at the Nou Camp in 2001, although that was more a feeling of "I think we're in over our heads" than "wow, we are going to take one in the ass".

We're not thinking positively you guys ...but maybe perhaps realistically.

LB has Kewel and Mellor up top but I feel just this once we should go with Nicky and play Mrs Elf on point with Mrs Scouse just laying it on.
Mrs Scouse has never kicked a ball in her life but as has been pointed out several times in this thread. It doesn't look like our current pair has either...:)

    "What! me worried?"

Edit: To all you Liverpool supporters and "guests" on the thread. Have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving (Harvest Festival) Holiday.

well, biscan on the right to try and stop reyes and cole, who are very dangerous players!!we need alonso and DiDi to have good games, since arsenal only have vieira in the centre of the park, and hes not been doing great lately, and if we do control the centre of the park ,i think we can have a great chance of winning!

and bad news!!!!sol cambell may play against liverpool,so thell be no cygan :( man!!!why couldnt arsenal or chelski get these kinda injuries to ther emost valuable players??

    Thanks, scouse...I second that thought.

This could be ugly, or we could suprise people. But either way, let me echo the idea that we should go down playing real football.

Not a great game for Arsenal psychologically tonight, which is what I wanted to see. :)

Difficult to see us playing "real football" with no forwards and with the midfielder who tries stuff going forward (Garcia) out...

PS My thanks to the American nation for Thanksgiving. With the American markets shut, I won't be sitting here in work until stupid hours tomorrow. :) Man, I need my holiday... :) 9 days to go. :)

UsScouse -- Hope you and all the rest of our crew here in virtual football land have a good holiday and we can all be thankful to be alive and reasonably prosperous (after all we can afford a pc and an internet connection, even if most of us are wage slaves).

Back to football, We are beaten up but we still have a good defense and a strong midfield. SG and Xabi and DiDi need to find out how to play together -- perhaps it'll come together this weekend. Arse reports have Henry not able to walk out of Eindhoven with an achilles knock. Van Persie can not play. Edu and Silva are out. Campbell is back but they may need to play Cygan. So its not like the Gooners are showing up full of confidence with a set side on a winning run.

I repeat play football but remain steady at the back. We will need to be positive and hope to take whatever chances come along,

well, now that i see the picture,i think thats the reason weve been in bad form!!!havente seen that guy for a whole now!Why didnt we unleash him in our previuos mathces this month????hahahahahaha
well, seems that henry may be out,(thanks god we have atleast some good news!!!!!)but i realy think he will play at anfield!!Arsenal are a side with an injury crisis in the center of the park,so lets hope that with people like gerrard and alonso we can control the center of the park and the match!!!

    LIVERPOOL ALWAYS!

    1. Not the fortess of old, but home advantage is home advantage. Just ask Man Utd :)
    2. Grinding out results, but its hardly our best football. Shame :(
    3. Yikes

    1. I dont really think you need one. Our defense is highly flapable at the moment, especially under corners and free kicks. If *I* were the pool manager, id be trying to play for corners. Twink a few balls off Ash Cole or something :)

As long as we play football or in the immortal words of LB "I repeat play football but remain steady at the back."
