How do you all feel about Arsenal (the club, supporters, players, etc). It seems the famous "friendly rivalry" is getting to be a bit more heated, what with Owen in the FA Cup final and them just miles ahead of us right now in terms of competitiveness.

I personally have no problem with Arsenal or anything about them. And I'd much rather see them win the league this year than Chelsea or ManU.

I'm speaking in a pretty broad fashion, but add what you can.

I agree. First I want to keep the Scum from getting closer to our medal and league championship totals. Second, they play a classy style, for the most part. Third, I simply think Henry is a marvelous player.

On the other hand there is the final game at Anfield in 1989.

I honestly don't like Arsenal, I wish that theyw ould lose every game for the rest of the year. But then again I don't, because I definitely don't want Scum to win it, and I don't want Chelsea too either, I don't like the fact that they became such a good team just because of money. But over all, I hate Arsenal, I think they are all big-headed, especially Henry, although you can't take away from him that he is a great player, or that they are a good team.

I don't hate Arsenal at all. I like watching them play, and Henry is the best and most exciting player in the world. Its better that they win the league then Chelski or Scum. I also wish Arsenal well in Europe.

The Gooners have never been the most vitriolic opponents, it has to be said. Mainly because it is only about once a decade that the two teams are in the same ballpark at the end of the season. Other than 1989, there's the FA Cup final in 1971 (Charlie George) and the League Cup final in 1987 (Charlie Nicholas) and the FA Cup final in 2001 (Micheal Owen). Beyond that and a couple of seasons roughly neck-and-neck at the turn of the Nineties and we've never really had anything to do with each other.

As for now, I have nothing against them. They're entertaining to watch and their fans have a couple of years of effortless domination to go before they all start turning into gormless wankstains like the Mancs. I reckon once Ashburton Grove is complete Arsenal fans will have completed their metamorphosis into loathsome part-timers, but for now, they're OK.

I had some good memories of Gooner games. We drove down a few times for cup and league matches I believe one was the quarter final the year we first won the cup, won that on 0-2. We had some laughs with gooner fans in the pub prior to the matches, not at all like going to Mankchester, miserable sods.

I watched the cup final on black and white TV when Arsenal scored in the first half and bunkered down in the second at Wembley to win 1-0. My dad and I went down to St. Georges Hall to see them come home, if you didn't know the score you'd have swore Liverpool had won. Real fans back then...;)
