Seemingly no team play by ManU. How long did Sancho hold onto that ball looking for the shot? He’d have been much better off switching the point of attack.
Tsimikas taps it home after a pair of blocked shots. Very nice attack from Liverpool EDIT: Sorry, just one blocked shot from Jota. Beautiful give and go between Salah and Bradley
LOL, Doak is NOT going to let the opposition get the ball. Sliding tackle collects the ball. Fish see’s this and decides he’ll try the same thing with a heavy tackle on Blair. Blair seems ok, but Fish may have injured himself.
While we are waiting, ManU are sitting around chatting or something. Meanwhile, several of the liverpool players start up a game of rondo…
Doak with a breakaway. Dribbles the ball into the box and manages to turn his defender around, but he ends up skying his shot.
Wan-Bissaka injures himself stretching to keep Blair off the ball after some wonderful midfield play by Liverpool. EDIT: He’s up again… just got an arm across the face. EDIT(2): and he’s down again (and up again). Looks like he’s coming off.
Good display by a mixed bag team in preseason. Some very eye catching one touch passes, very good to see. 4 games 4 wins. Well done Arne and the lads.
Yes yes and yes . You know what an all, that Carvalho kid is starting to change my mind on him. He's been one of the standouts of this preseason tour for me . He's worked hard shown some lovely touches on the ball and proves again that he has an eye for goal. I think he's gonna make Slot do some serious thinking.
Still preseason so can’t read too much into these results. Score line doesn’t reflect the balance of play, though. Could quite easily have been 3-3 or even a Man U win. We’re still sloppy with the ball, frustratingly so at times but that’s for the coaches to work on. Seems to have been a good tour overall, though; really pleased for some of the USA-based fans.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans all injured. Along with Yoro earlier. Think they’re going to have defensive problems this season. Even without injuries they were already in trouble.
I don't know while they had a chance here and there from our direct pass backs - I don't think that happens as we get into real time.
Ten hag had 2 post game stories set - 1) it was a great win in front of all the supporters and shows how far we have come and how well we are doing. We are right on track. 2) we don't care about friendlies, the pitch was terrible, we have huge injuries, and Liverpool were lucky.
I thought Utd were pretty rubbish tbh and continue to look like the rudderless boat they've been for a while now. They had a few chances which our keepers handled well but Utd still look like a team without an identity while Liverpool , even after the kids came on clearly have a system which they are developing and it looks good.
