There is a small blurb on the Arsenal site today that says the Liverpool game may be moved, and I've heard directly from the club that this may also result in the Newcastle game being moved as well. A number of people want to organize a roadtrip for these matches, but we'r sort of in limbo with the game being "fluid" (which is what usually happens in the Spring). I'll be talking to Arsenal tonight/tomorrow to try and get some more details. http://www.arsenal.com/sportsappcon...e&type=com.sportapps.news.NewsItem&id=4348859
It was confirmed in tonight's match programme against the Saints that the match with Liverpool will be moved and that tickets for this game will not go on sale today as planned. No mention of a new date at present.
I don't have many more details, except that the Newcastle Monday game might move up to Saturday (in place of the Liverpool game). I remember once I was in London on a Wed. and there was nothing scheduled for the next week so I went on a business trip in Russia. When I got back the next Tues. Arsenal told me that a road game at Leicester had been rescheduled to Wed. night. About this same time of year when all heck breaks loose in the schedules.
I was planning on buying my plane ticket next week as well. Isn't there a CL game midweek that week? I think April 6th or 7th? If so, to play a CL game then Liverpool and Newcastle in less than a week is a disaster waiting to happen. It may be good for me then as I was reconsidering even going due to the lack of ticket availability for the games and exhorbitant prices the online ticket brokers were charging.
Yes, there is Champions League on those days. And if anybody wants to help me with 3 Newcastle tickets at a good price feal free to do so.
well then jeff, i guess you can cancel my request for the liverpool tickets for the 10th. stupid fixture changes
As of my last update from the club, the Liverpool game was oversubscribed as there were many foreign fan clubs wanting to get tickets. The move may have shuffled a lot of this, but it makes it really hard for people from the US to arrange tickets and whatnot. The NUFC game--I'm not sure if Arsenal have been given there allotment of tickets. If it is Saturday, it could be a greater allotment as more fans might travel up. We'll see.
