Death by fixture congestion could kill off our chances this year! It would be very hard to play Liverpool and Newcastle in less than 48hours under any circumstances, but when you put a taxing Cup Semi against ManUre and a CL QF against Chelski ahead of it, it looks like it could pull us down. Already we dropped 2 points on Sunday because the boys were too tired in the last 20minutes. It will take all of the man management prowess that AW has to get us through this period.
is Parlour going to be back for those fixtures, or is he out until the end of April? Aliadere & Kanu will get some playing time in this stretch run.
Amen..Detlef, we need to make use of subs and keep the lads fresh. I miss seeing Parlour scramble all over the pitch doing the little scrappy stuff. Arsene knows!

Hardly fixture congestion, it's just a regular Easter weekend in English football. Most clubs will play on the Saturday and Monday, but I reckon these matches have been moved forward a day with a view to our game versus Leeds the following Friday evening, April 16th.
The Tavern is always a nice friendly pub, ask Doug from Chicago, he came down with us for the Charlton game. On another note, I was asked ages ago to pick up a pair of Newcastle tickets by an American coming over. I asked him to contact me nearer the time by e-mial and no-one has. I will be getting tickets on Monday, so if you know who it is, please send him a quick reminder as I won't get the tickets if he doesn't need them. Cheers.

The Liverpool match will be very very difficult. Right after Chelsea. Also, Liverpool always give us problems. They will be super motivated. I am hoping for a win but a draw may be all we get, and a loss a distinct possibility. Newcastle will be slightly easier I think. We'll be tired but so will they. They have a UEFA cup game next week I believe and then they have to play us as the 2nd of two PL games I believe. If that's so, I think we'll be able to score easier on them. But again, a draw or a loss can be a distinct possibility. My biggest fear is Chelsea wins their next 2 league matches. It will widdle the lead down to 3 or 4 points if we draw those games or god forbid lose one. Reyes, Kanu, Wiltord or Aliadiere will be very instrumental in those games. Cygan or Keown as well as Clichy possibly.
Don't worry about it being televised over here, I think nearly all the pubs have Danish or Swedish TV so you'll be able to see it!!
Hi there, if im not wrong, you mentioned that you were over for the two Easter games. Well if you want to go to the Newcastle match I can get two tickets due to a couple of American Gooners changing their plans (see thread on subject). I will need to know today/tomorrow, but am quite happy to do that. Let me know.
Sorry didn't see your asking where the Tavern is!! Think im going blind from watching too many goals this season........ Get on the underground/metro. Go to Arsenal station which is on the Piccadilly Line (Dark Blue one on the map). Turn left out of the station onto Gillespie Road. Walk past the stadium (it will be on your right) all the way to the end of the road. This is Blackstock Road, turn left and straight away it is on the right hand side of the road. There are three rooms in this pub. Make your way right into the back room where the big screen is and leather sofa's. Thats where all the people will be who Doug met when he came over. After the match, still on Blackstock Road but turn the other way (left coming from Gillespie Road). Walk up about 300 yards and on the left hand side of the road is a small pub called the Woodbine. That is where most of the Tavern lot go after the match. It will be absolutly packed and everyone will be singing so very good fun. Enjoy!!!!
My own fault for it, but I never got to try the Twelve Pins last spring or in December. I was just wondering how is it both for watching football and as a pub? Cheers...
