once again our accomplishments last night are being swamped in the media ..... NOTE I'm not complaining (for once :) ) !

pundits are obsessed with MC falling apart, RM losing twice at home, MU celebrating Amorim being the next Redgob.

meanwhile Arne and the boys can just keep on doing what they're doing with less media nitpicking and nonsense attention.

Curtis's strong play of late is changing my mind on him. He's no longer dawdling on the ball as much and is looking right at home in Slots midfield

Whatever magic Arne is using on Curtis and Grav long may it continue .

looks like our under-the-radar quiet period is gone. multiple media pieces about how we're now favourites to win the PL.

I don’t mind this, actually. Especially as the narrative is to dismiss Liverpool’s results as coming against mostly low-level teams or at have come at hime.

Jones and Gravenberch are the players that have gotten the most attention in the media, but I’ argue Diaz, Konate, and TAA have also seen their games dramatically improve with the new system and coaching team. I’d also argue that we’re starting to see some progress with Nunez as well…. He’s always going to be a wildcard-type player, but to my eye his talents have been integrated into the play style of the team much more effectively these last couple of games.

Darwin’s always been most effective utilizing his physicality to run and stretch defenses, but he often seemed to get isolated and/or would mess up build-up play with a poor touch. Slot’s team seem to be integrating him into the team build-up play much better, but by not necessarily asking him to receive and recycle passes as much as to move defenders around with runs. He seems to have had a bit of resurgence in the last couple of games. I’m not sure he’s ever going to live up to the potential of his physical attributes, but it’s been nice to see him start to get some games and be able to do something with that time.

Diaz is no longer that tricky player with not much of an end product. He's been quite prolific and between him and Gakpo that left side is probably the strongest in the league.
I agree re Konate , he's blossomed and is coming into his own this season. Please stay fit.
I think Slot has improved Trent's defensive game tho perhaps slightly curtailed the attacking aspects.
As for Nunez his work ethic is good and link up play decent but as a striker his goal production needs to be there . I'd hope for 15 to 20 this season.

now THIS is a doozy of a story!!!! honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry :)

    https://www.anfieldwatch.co.uk/live...mier-league-mi5-recruit-dissident-republican/

MI5 'attempted to use Liverpool Tannoy system' to recruit dissident Irish republican

UK security service MI5 allegedly attempted to recruit an Irish dissident republican figure using Liverpool's matchday speaker system during the recent Premier League fixture against Aston Villa.

That's according to shock new claims from a political group in Ireland.

The incident is said to have occurred towards the conclusion of the Reds' 2-0 victory at Anfield. It's alleged the supporter was asked through the stadium's public announcement Tannoy system to make contact with matchday stewards - interpreted as a coded approach from MI5.

But the sequence of events allegedly began much earlier at Manchester Airport, where it's been claimed thatt the supporter, who was travelling with his son for the Liverpool game, was initially questioned by security services.

    MI5 airport approach
"Upon arrival [he] was apprehended by British crown forces who took the republican for questioning," a statement from dissident republican organisation Saoradh in the Sunday World says.

"When the British crown forces had finished as they exited the questioning room two MI5 agents entered. The ruthless agents offered this individual a substantial sum of money and a further amount to spend at the football game, also a mobile telephone with a sim card and number to contact these British crown interrogators in return for answering their questions."

According to the statement, the individual refused to cooperate: "The republican dismissed their offer and demanded to go on about his business with his son. After a lengthy period the MI5 agents eventually released the republican to be able to attend the match with their son."

    Anfield request ignored
The alleged recruitment attempt didn't end there. "Towards the end of the game there was an announcement over Anfield football stadium Tannoy – this individual knew straight away this was another attempt to approach him, he ignored this request."

Saoradh claims the approaches continued even after the match, with another alleged attempt made at Manchester Airport by "MI5 agents in public who were dressed in suits."

The statement adds: "At this point the republican raised his voice to alert those around them of this harassment and the pair walked away but not before warning they would make further attempts."

Liverpool FC have been contacted for comment.
