I think this is a very good decision .... https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/01...gainst-warm-weather-training-camp-next-month/ Liverpool will not head off for a warm weather training camp next month, according to the Evening Standard‘s David Lynch. The Reds have a short winter break for two weeks in February, with no game taking place on the weekend of February 8th/9th. Although there is the option for Liverpool to go somewhere warm, as has been the case for the last three years, this report states that Jurgen Klopp will give his players a week off instead. The decision is thought to be ‘recognition for their efforts’ so far this season, with the Reds 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League, with a game in hand.
Good to hear although I was already under the impression it was going to a week off and then a week of training. Would have sucked to have training for 2 weeks even if was partly in warm weather - when sometimes getting a week to chill and spend time with family is better.
We've (got to love that We) been pretty slow starters after a break. So it will be interesting to see how we perform. The slow start may have been overtraining without a match. Well well will see. I believe we'll be away to Norwich after the break. That's not a bad one.
Meaningless but still it's nice to hear. Liverpool vs Manchester United combined XI: Reds legend John Barnes picks ALL 11 players from the league leaders as Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford fail to dislodge Joe Gomez and Mohamed Salah in starting line-up Liverpool have been nothing short of sensational so far this season and as a result former Reds winger Barnes believes no United player should feature in the combined line-up. Here's one of the "unsung" heroes now. We'd better brace up. We're going to see a lot of these reports in the what, 3 days between the 2020 and 2021 season. Juventus line up astonishing '£150m bid for Virgil van Dijk'... and Italian side 'think defender could be open to a new challenge' if Liverpool win the Premier League this season Juventus believe they could land Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk in an incredible £150million summer transfer raid, according to The Sun. Of course it is. they have a think tank of over imaginative staff to help sell their crap. Not as bad as the F'kn S*n tho.
Enjoy the holidays boys! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...eorginio-Wijnaldum-Joe-Gomez-jet-holiday.html
I’m all for them having a break. But it doesn’t seem like a great idea to go as far afield as LA given the time difference?
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-stars-relax-holiday-reds-21425795 LA. Miami. Maldives. I'd probably have gone the Sadio route and sat at home or rented a castle for a couple days that doesn't require airplane travel.
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner says he is having to "pinch himself" to believe the standards being set by Jurgen Klopp's team this season. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51405897
FSG should make sure to pat themselves on the back too for learning from their mistakes, going cutting edge, and doggedly going after Klopp as soon as he was available. Oh and thanks for the Main Stand rebuild, Kirkby training complex, and soon the Anfield Road stand. People can complain about them all they want but FSG has played a monumental role in resurrecting this club on and off the pitch.

This is a good read ......... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51374515 Liverpool's Adrian on Jurgen Klopp, the Anfield dressing room, & landing on your feet It was the Premier League's opening day and Norwich City were visiting Anfield. Liverpool's Alisson was down with a calf injury. There was silence in the stands. Jurgen Klopp brought his new substitute goalkeeper off the bench and spoke softly in his ear: "Welcome to Anfield." Adrian had only been at the club for four days. He had trained with his team-mates just twice. As he was about to make his debut, did Klopp have anything else to add? "He hugged me. He showed me I had his trust," Adrian says. "I felt like the schoolboy who has to introduce himself in front of his new classmates, but what can I say about Anfield? The way the fans embraced me in such a critical moment, losing one of their best players. They gave me total confidence." Adrian smiles as he looks back now on that unexpected Anfield bow - and the whirlwind week that followed. The Spaniard, 33, is enjoying life as the guy who landed on his feet in Liverpool half a year ago. But to really understand him - and how he fits in to a very special team - you have to go back a little further still...........
This requires a bit of sit-down time and a bit of going back and forth to get it. Brilliant. https://thesefootballtimes.co/2020/...d-liverpools-players-into-mentality-monsters/
He has been compared to Giggs in one article I read. But who wants him hurt on some useless “friendly?”
