Kuyt for Henderson (who is having a Kuyt-like game on the right with his effort and defending).

Kuyt to score a penalty for sure.

Henderson was decent, wasn't he? Why can't they play like this on a consistent basis?

Nothing that exciting going on. Everton can't maintain possession and when we win the ball back we send about three players forward. Throw-ins, goal kicks, free kicks, long balls, etc.

Henderon + Kelly in attack/defense > Kelly only defending, Henderson only attacking.

This is a good collective effort. In the attacking third, players are anticipating Everton's clearances and moving out of their positions to either win the cleared ball or pressure the Everton player who receives the cleared ball.

Usually our CMs stay about 15 yards outside of the box and back pedal when the ball is cleared. Now players are coming from all over to help with the pressing.

No rhythm to the game now as there are various fouls, throw-ins, etc. Game is getting chippy w/ faked injuries and fouls.

Drenthe gets a yellow for upending Downing.

Enrique again tries a one-timed shot with his right foot from outside of the box and it's easily stopped. Could have tried to maintain possession but he went for the spectacular.

Everton are embarrassing when they actually have the ball. Can't string more than three passes together. One might chant "Are you Liverpool in disguise?"

Nothing exciting to report. Ball is spending most of it's time bouncing around the middle third.

Good rendition of YNWA at the moment though.

Leighton Baines proves main creative force for Everton as he orchestrates a move that puts the ball in the box. Fellaini knocks it to top of box where Rodwell slices badly wide with a one-touch shot attempt.

Tape delay for this one in Canada, but seems like a much better effort.

    STEVIE G HATRICK.

Suarez and Gerrard combine on a 2 v 2. Gerrard passed to Suarez who couldn't quit handle, so he passed it back to Gerrard who passed it high into the open net.

Over. Dominant display. We simply made more of an effort to win the ball.

Obvious question why does type of effort only come after we've got our backs against the wall?

Either way, it's one to remember. Skipped walks off the pitch with match ball tucked into his shirt. Perfect way to cap off 400th league appearance.

We've missed that combination, haven't we? Scoreline could have been much more- haven't I heard that one before this season?

Biggest home win against Everton since 83. Gerrard with the first merseyside derby hattrick since Rush.

No way... Suarez intended on setting up Stevie for the hat-trick the moment he was put in... He baited Distin and the the other cb to cover him so that Stevie would be wide open -- what a team player!

It was a good win. Kelly, Suarez, and obviously Gerrard were top players though most everyone had a good match. I thought Enrique was poor and we were fortunate Baines, Piennar, and Fellaini weren't on the other side of the pitch. Only criticism.

We scored all three basically off of Everton mistakes (Howard couldn't clear on the first, bad defending on the second, and Drenthe slipped to lose possession on the third) BUT we played with an intensity that allowed us to capitalize on those mistakes. That should happen more often.

Didn't they say right before the match this was the first time Liverpool had Suarez, Gerrard, Carroll and Downing starting together? It went well, doncha think?

    :D

This is the mentality the side should have in every game. They didn't let the fact that they bossed the first half and only had one goal to show for it dampen their spirits. They went out and took it to Everton to get more goals.

With the exception of speedbump Spearing (who early in the first literally watched the ball roll back out to a blue), a great performance all around. Yup, we need more of that.

Just had to share this tweet...

Happy 10th year at EFC for David Moyes. When he took over they hadn't won anything for 7 years. Now it's 17. #10MOREYEARS

Moyes is easy meat at Anfield yet again. 10 more years of no victories for him there please!

Gerrard now has 8 goals in Merseyside Derbies, only LFC Player to score more was Rush. Great for Gerrard, the Derby means a lot to him and to personally perform so well is icing on the cake!

Maybe the Evertonians will wake up and realise that Moyes has probably the worst record of Merseyside Derbies in the history of their club.

I wonder if Moyes will blame this defeat on 'hot balls' as well!

    Iftheotherteamhadnaturnedupandscoredmore....etc.

Gerrard scoring a hat-trick against Everton will sting their fans! Oh boy, they will be hurting about that for ever! :D

Let's go on from here and get a winning run going...
