Yeah - it's about getting fitness for the other 2 "extra" subs this pre-season and because it will be hectic first half of the season with the stupid winter world cup.
After watching all of these preseason games I'd still like to see us add another experienced box to box midfielder to the team. Up top ,in the defence and the keepers all seem well stocked but I think the midfield remains potentially our Achilles heel should we lose a couple of the starters to injury for any period of time.
The Liverpool vs Villa behind closed doors friendly tomorrow has been cancelled. Both teams mutually agreed that due to current squad issues, there is no need for the game.
