Damn. When you said britpop, I was hoping to see a documentary on the good pop music to come from England in the 90s: The Spice Girls and Robbie Williams, not that lousy Oasis crap.

    Ahem. Right.

I heard an interview with the guy behind this movie on BBC last Saturday afternoon - sounds like a good one. It only comes out in the UK in March, and it'll probably be seen in about 3 theatres nationwide here, but I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for it.

Of course, if it were a documentary on the Spice Girls, it'd obviously be called Viva Forever, not Live Forever.

The pop music scene there was big, but Britpop defined the music of a generation. Bands like Oasis and Blur revitalized the British music scene of the early 90s, and this documentary is about that. I hear its good, though we'll probably have to wait for DVD to see this in the US.

As far as I know, it hasn't made it over here. As soon as I get region-free dvd player that can play PAL movies on my TV, this will be one of my first pick ups.

I picked it up at Heathrow a few weeks ago, and haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I just loaned it to someone who is trying out their newly region-free-hacked DVD player, so I'll report back in a week or so when I get it back.
