I wish all teams would do this.

What are the costs for doing such a broadcast?

Not sure. I actually copied it from the team's message board. Sorry.

The only real cost is assuring that there is enough badwidth to support the probable audiance for the game. While not a huge outlay it is, none the less, a real cost.

The problem is finding people that can make the game alive on just audio.

Even baseball is hard on radio and it moves so very very s..l..o..w..l..y. Soccer is much quicker.

Most soccer radio announcers spend so much time talking about the exterior of the game or analyzing the what ifs that they fail to convey the flow of the game.

A simple flowing PbP is better than the usual fare of constant analysis and inane chatter.

I hope this does indicate a trend and more teams will have webcasts of game. Particularly those games that are not readily available out of market on TV
