The Midfield is the weakest in my opinion!

Definately would of liked to see Bofo on the list mainly because he could be a good substitution.

Nery and Vuoso uptop would be nice!

anybody else think that it's pretty pathetic he called up Topo instead of Castillo?
Maybe they had some sort of falling out or something, he couldn't even grab minutes vs Sweden.........

The last two friendlies we've lost have been topo's fault, first the auto goal v.s Chile and then the lost ball v.s Sweden. E. Castillo would have been nice to see, good speed for the counter.

He doesn't do it on the international stage.

I also think about putting sinha as a second forward

Not a bad list at all, I just don't know what Sven sees in Villaluz and Bravo.

Well he needs a midfielder to play on the right side because Arce is suspended and we dont have a lot to choose from at forward..

He mentioned he wants faster players, I guess that's why he called Bravo, but I rather play Guille than Omar, we have already seen Omar v.s the nads before and he disappears.

Nery played for Olimpiacos as RM, I think Venado should come in the secon half to take advantage of their tired defenders.

Gio plays best in the left or as a CAM

Guille and Vuoso provide size to defend corners and to take advantage of set pieces and Nery/ Gio crosses.

I like this one, i would like someone else but Gio at Right-Mid but the only other i can think of is Venado. Ill take Gio over him, but man how i wish Arce could play this game. We would have won GC 2007 if he had started that game.

Someone please answer me this question:

When is the last time Mexico Started a game with 2 true #9s?

I always think of Mexico starting with a true 9 and a creative player behind him.

    Kinda like a Zihna/Vouso Nery/Cacho Gio/Vela Blanco/Borgetti Zihna/Borgetti.

    And recently in Sven's 4-3-3: Jagger/Vouso/Venado Guardado/Vouso/Gio
    Guardado/Vela/Gio

When is the last time Mexico started 2 True strikers like a Vouso/Franco?

Im not saying we can make a combo like Spain's Villa/Torres but i like the idea of 2 True strikers and creative players around them like Nery/Gio/Venado/Zihna Etc.

I think sven's going to go into this game looking for a draw. It will be a very cautious line-up. just watch.

Im mad at Sven for always overlooking De nigris this guy is tall and we dont have any other players who are good with headers plus i would have choosen him over Villaluz anyday! Vuoso is coming off injury, Bravo doesnt play, Gio doesnt play, Nery is starting to play and Guille plays sometime while De nigirs just scored on his debut today, didnt he want strikers who can score?
and also how is it possible that he left Edgar Castillo out and instead called up Dominguez who proved against Sweden that he doesnt cut it

Yeah, but look at the league and teams De Nigris plays against, he too is starting to play after being on the bench all the time.

I agree about De Nigris, at the very least he deserves a chance to prove his worth. Somehow I get the feeling that el Tano is still being black listed by the Gentlemen's pact as Monterrey recently blocked his possible transfer to Cruz Azul. The same thing happened with Bofo who ironically had already agreed terms with the Cementeros only to be denied at the last minute.
