are you Vic "The Brick" Jacobs?

wish i could list a best 11, but since i think i saw a total of 3 games from '96-'00, i don't think my list would have much merit. hartman, cien, and cobi are all a given though. ruiz probably gets the nod as well, though it would be good to see him put up another strong season or two in gold.

I'd put Dan Calichman in the back 4 and move Pena up in the DMF slot.

I wouldn't put Hurtado there because he had one spectacular season and then really tanked (pun intended) in the next season. So my FWDs would be Ruiz and Welton.

I can't think of anyone else besides Harut or Myers--I think Myers would have an edge here.

Otherwise most of that best 11...er 10 is spot on.

Ruiz and Hurtado up front. I'd pass on Welton.

What would be better is a list of the all-time best Galaxy players who left too early.

Mathis, Armas, Beasley come to mind. And don't forget Brian Ching.

Like Taco, I didn't see much of them from 96-00, but here goes:

Trying to keep it as close to their true positions as possible...

    -----------------Hartman------------------------

    EZ-------Fraser--------Vanney--------Caligiuri---

    ------------------Pena ---------------------------

    Jones------------------------------Victorine (yikes! Sorry, Chi Bear)

    -----------------Cienfuegos-----------------------

    ---------Hurtado------------Ruiz------------------

    No love for Simon Elliot?!?

IMO Elliot was as good as Pena. Neither scored much, both were solid defensively.

After seeing EZ's name there, I'd like to put him in Myer's spot.

Agreed he's not best 11 on the current team, but I think he had a decent 01-02. I can't really think of anyone better at LM.

Granted there really has never been anybody really stick out on the left. Personally, I thought the time Albright played there last season was probably the most production the Galaxy has ever gotten from left mid.

In addition, Elliott played well there, although I think he was better suited as a D-Mid.

So I will simply say that Grabavoy is the best the Galaxy have had all time in as Left Mid.

Not really, my friend. I never really despised him or anything, but until that 2-goal breakout game at Invesco, Albright only scored a couple of goals for us...and he was frequently starting as a forward! And btw, it's 1/16 of an inch...turn the caps lock key off!!!!!!
