Voronin makes a sign of cross, when he enters on the ground. Not sure is he Greek-Catholic, or Catholic.

Cross also became expression of pop culture, everyone could wear the cross, as an expression of fashion. Greeks have crosses of 10 centimeters made of gold with Jesus Christ, with huge chain around their necks. Saw that in Croatian coast also, among Croatians, Italians. Nothing wrong with two connected pieces of some material. Religious marks became very popular in Europe.

I saw him making Catholic sign of cross, he isn't atheist for sure. Atheists don't use baptize formula.

He can be a member of Jewish football tradition.:) Heritage, legacy, something that can go through generations. There is not many footballers born in 19th century.
Name of thread is List of Jewish footballers. Nothing about their status.:p

    What about him? Stefan Schnoor.

    Hello all!

I have a new young french jewish player to present you. I know him for a long time but I talk about him now because he plays this year for the reserve team of Paris SG.
I know well the family and I can assure you that he comes from a practising Jewish family, eats kosher and goes to the synagogue.
Well, I think that you will not doubt because his name is Ilan Boccara: totally Jewish first name and family name.

    http://www.psg.fr/fr/Formation/401004/CFA/2390/Boccara-Ilan

Finally, concerning the player, he is 18 years old and plays now with the reserve team, he makes good matches at the moment. Let us hope that he will succeed!

    BEHATSLAHA ILAN!!

I think that Glauber is his name, not surname.

Gláuber Leandro Honorato Berti - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gláuber

Berti is Italian surname. Glauber could be Jewish is this is his surname. Glauber means "Believer" or "Thinker" in German, "ich glaube" means "I think".:)
Ashkenazi Jewish people have German last names mostly. They change their last names and take from resident country surnames.

Salomon Libman is for sure Jewish, saw him on the list of Latin America Jewish people. Last name Salomon is Jewish. I haven't found the proof, thought that you guys can find in Israeli sites about these players.

For example one German player: Denis Epstein. He is probably of Jewish heritage, but it's not written on Wikipedia that he is Jewish. In South American leagues you can see many last names that sound like Jewish last names.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denis_Epstein

    Florian Fromlowitz: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florian_Fromlowitz

    Hi last name sounds Jewish.

I saw here that Croatian-Argentine footballer Dario Cvitanich has JEwish heritage, where can I see that website? Which member of his family is Jewish. Cvitanich is Croatian last name (Cvitanić). It means flower in Dalmatian dialect.

    I found this: http://www.ourslifeforce.com/sport/dario-cvitanich-sports-soccer

But you have no proof that he is so there is no discussion to be had. Your listing of names that sound Jewish or have are common amongst Jews is nothing more than trolling.
