Guys, it time for him to step up. His talent is endless, his touch is impeccable, Mark Lisi would be our ideal number. He's fast as greased lightning and smooth like beer. The guy has what it takes not only to be a star in MLS, but also a starter on our national team.

Here's to you Mark Lisi, the saviour of Metro!

Have you hit your head? Lisi's the second coming of Billy Walsh. He's slow, clueless and funny looking. Next your gonna say Villegas would bit a good fit in our system.

I think you are confusing him with Cort Weinstein

We've seen some flashes of brilliance from Lisi, at times he looks really really good, yet at times he looks lost. He has the potential to be a number ten, however, it may take a while, and obviously, if Bradley thought he could fill the role, then he wouldn't be looking at all these other players would he? Lisi needs to have some consistency in his performances on the field. Hopefully under Bradley, he can mature and be the player he can be.

Right on, Sweeper, and I'm amazed no one else on these boards has mentioned it while we search the world high and low for a 'number ten'. Anyone with eyes to see and a brain to think knows that the moment Mark heals up and takes the field, this Metro team becomes 200% percent better. Criminally misused by the old regime, he's our potential game-breaker in waiting. So I hope we DON'T set up our store around some ancient Frenchman or shifty little Spanish phenom. We have the man for the job right here already, probably playing for a lot less than he's worth. Given his chance to shine, I smell caps for the US by 2004 - do you?

Lisi is a remarkable gem, a real specimen to behold, too bad he is reported on the boards as being injured; I'd love to see what this kid could do, feeding balls to Freddy Adu for the next ten years. I am overjoyed at the prospect of Lisi playing a prominent role on the team. I heard he is the fastest member of the Metro squad and the most technically gifted.

    Weak attempt.

I wish I was Mark Lisi, I'd be crawling for chicks, and in my opinion, be worthy of being Metro's number ten for years to come, carrying on in the tradition of Roberto Donadoni.

Donadoni was #7 and our left half, rather than #10 and a centre half.

Mark Lisi is quite good, though.

What do you think Lisi's real chances are for being #10? Don't you think that his injury will hurt his chances? Thanks!

Lisi could play through any pain, he's a mans man; pure image of John Wayne.

Comapring Lisi to Donadoni is criminal. Lisi has the potential but has done nothing with it. Claiming that he's our #10 is insane.

I'll be the first to agree that we don't need another aging veteran player, however we shouldn't pass anyone up for the sole reason that Lisi will be our man in years to come. Marc may have the physical skills to play the game but to be a #10 you need a footballers brain , which Lisi does not have. All too often he's looking lost on the pitch , running into spaces that others can't feed off of. Marc needs to play some first team football before anyone can proclaim him our #10.

oh c'mon --"he's a mans man"-- you are lisi --either that or you're his man.

(sorry sweeper, don't take this badly, just a little playful jousting on BS. i think lisi as a #10 option is good too.)

Chicks crawl for Mark Lisi. You would to.

Lisi is pure gold, forget Cienfuegos, forget Etch, give Lisi the ball and watch total football come to a pitch near you! He's all over the place, a virtual vacuum cleaner of the midfield. What vision, what touch, like a small breasted Korean massuesse on a hot summer day. Feeding balls to Mathis, and then in 2010 to Adu and company. 2010, some laugh at it, but with Lisi at the helm, its possable.

Here's to you Mark Lisi, a real American hero!

im sure if he played a more offensive role in the midfield he would do much better since that is what he played at clemson

    Lisi best ever

Lisi is probably the best midfielder ever to play for the MetroStars. Tab Ramos even admitted that Lisi is better than Donadoni ever was. Lisi is 100 times better than the second best MetroStars midfielder Petter Villegas and he will prove it this season to any fan willing to sit around long enough and watch.

    Fun, fun,fun

This thread has been lots of fun, thanks to everyone. Poor Mark may be out of the league in another yeAr so lets have some fun while we can. He came into the league with potential but just hasn't developed beyond his Clemson days. Oh well Mark it will soon be time to move on to the real world....get a job.

    To Mark Lisi:Real American Hero

Lanky and goofy looking, with a touch of world class flair, this Clemson product, who started his professional days in DC is the embodiment of the beautiful game. Forsaking any link to his past with United to become Metro through and through, this young American stud is the future of the team, and on his bony, thin frame, reminscent of an extra from Schindler's list, is the weight of Metro's future seasons of glory. On your blessed feet and thighs of thunder, Mark Lisi, rests the glory which future generations will herald. Here's to you Mark Lisi, a real American hero.

For everything you do Mark Lisi, this ones for you.
